We went to the Benedictine abbey by bus. We entered the church and the guide told us about the origins and the history of the abbey . We visited it and the tour was very interesting. At thirteen ‘o clock we returned home. It was a very enjoyable trip and I liked it very much.

HISTORYThe founder of the abbey was S.Alferio, noble ambassador of the Prince of Salerno Guaimario-III. In 1011 he went to live in the big cave "Arsicia"as a hermit.The abbey was built on this cave in Badia, a village near Cava.

We went to Giffoni by bus and we saw “L’Avaro”.Then we had lunch and we played in a big lawn. We returned into the cinema and we watched “Les mains en l’air”. Then we entered for some games and we came back home in the afternoon.
