A new orientation for adult education:

• Focus on the Municipal Education in cooperation with the Liberal Adult Education and Labour Market Training programmes (Job centres).

• A shared responsibility between the municipalities and the state.

• Mobilising resources in order to lower the threshold for persons with low earlier experience to start studying.

Results I:• About 800 000 persons participated• 50 percent of the participants were

unemployed• More than 60 percent had less than

a two year secondary education• Many students have got at better

chance to get a job• Many students have gone to higher

education
