today than it did in the past.
• Because all great powers have nuclear weapons, economic power is more important than military power.
• The world is a new geopolitical marketplace wherein the European Union and China compete with the United States to shape the world order on their own terms.
A Better measures of power is economic productivity, global market share, technological innovation, natural resource endowments, and population size.
Geopolitics
• Is a theory within the International Relations and describes the relation between politics and territory.
• Comprises the art and practice of analyzing, proscribing, forecasting and using political power over a given territory
• Is a discipline that looks backward explicitly for the purpose of looking forward.
