Project Background

• The school has been developing an innovative and integrated course that meets the needs of the new AIT course. The course utilises MOODLE, an online LMS to deliver a completely student centred, multimedia/design based course which intends to increase student motivation and access.

How does it look?

• Technology Process and Information outcomes assessed

• Short courses beginning with Design Process

• 8 week courses in various topics• Standard format used for all courses• Tutorials used extensively• Rich tasks used as learning tools

The Benefits

• A greater number of girls taking up IT courses in senior secondary years

• Improved student performance in projects

• Generally improved motivation in classrooms

• Increases in class sizes at year 11 and 12• Improvement in performance at year 11

and 12
