Meet Jon Hutchins, Director of
SAGE!
Jon Hutchins is the new
Director of SAGE. Jon
moves to SAGE from a
previous role at WCC
working with Career and
College Promise students.
He has been working in
higher education for over 17
years at 4-year private and
public institutions along
with WCC. He earned his Bachelor’s in Spanish
Education from Campbell University and his
Masters in Higher Education Leadership from
Appalachian State University. When Jon is not
serving students at WCC, he enjoys spending time
with his wife and 2 kids, as well as fly fishing and
cheering on the Seattle Seahawks. Jon looks
forward to getting to know the current SAGE
students and assisting them along their educational
journey.

Meet Heather Johnson, Educational
Advisor!
Hi! My name is Heather Johnson, and I am excited to be part of the SAGE program here at WCC as the educational advisor! I am passionate about working with students to reach their goals. My B.S. in psychology degree is from Appalachian State University, and my M.Ed. in School Counseling is from Liberty University. As once a transfer, and first-generation college student I know only too well the path and barriers that can come up in working towards your dreams. I am excited to be working alongside you and the SAGE staff to succeed in your college, career and life goals! My enjoyments are spending time with my husband and 1-year old son, being outside, camping, crafting (although I still lack the skills!) and reading! I look forward to meeting and working with each of you! Please come by my office anytime, my door is always open to you. Sincerely, Heather Johnson
