Low detection limits for all the key elements

Ni Cu Zn Ru Rh Pd Ag Cd Pt Hg Pb

ppm 103 131 317 366 636 1010 342 1398 1062 307

Limit of detection (LOD) is specified for each matrices in three sigma 99.7% confidence level. Individual LOD's improve as a function of the square root of the testing time. All detection limits are specified for interference free matrix. LOD's are listed in parts per million (ppm). Limit of detection effects on instrument precision (repeatability), but it is not direct indication of instrument accuracy. Limits of detection are dependent on the following factors:

-Matrix Interferences, overlapping elements etc.-Level of statistical confidence-Testing time

Safety – the key design criteria Tested by STUK (Finnish Nuclear and Radiation safety authority),

independent test laboratory

With maximum voltage and current settings leaking radiation is less than 1 μSv/h from any surface

Two independent proximity sensors to ensure that the analyser is in contact with the sample before starting the measurement: IR sensor & count rate proximity sensor

Four bright, highly visible “X-RAYS ON” warning lights

Password protected. PIN code is required to initiate the unit and if the analyser is not being used, it will lock itself in 5 minutes

User training is always provided by Oxford Instruments or authorised re-sellers

Large selection of additional radiation safety accessories are available to protect the user from scattered X-rays when measuring small, thin or low density samples.
