Limit of detection (LOD) is specified for each matrices in three sigma 99.7% confidence level. Individual LOD's improve as a function of the square root of the testing time. All detection limits are specified for interference free matrix. LOD's are listed in parts per million (ppm). Limit of detection effects on instrument precision (repeatability), but it is not direct indication of instrument accuracy. Limits of detection are dependent on the following factors:
-Matrix Interferences, overlapping elements etc.-Level of statistical confidence-Testing time
New intuitive Graphical User Interface Design based on an extensive user research
Improved, intuitive and easy-to-read graphical user interface. Ultimate ease of use.
New attractive functional icons makes learning how to use the instrument quicker. Easy to operate even gloves on.
Bright and high contrast 4,3” Blanview® transmissive LCD touch screen ensures optimal outdoor viewing even in direct sunlight
Result screen can easily be user customized for individual needs e.g. to show only the elements of interest or create informative pass/fail messages
History view for easy browsing of old results and spectra
16 GB internal memory – store up to 100 000 results including spectra!
User interface is available in 12 languages including: English Traditional and simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, German, Italian and French
Built to last Designed to withstand even the harshest environments High impact resistant housing with environmental sealing Protective rubber bumpers protects the screen, sides of
the analyser nose and the battery – also prevent slipping
to ground for example when the X-MET is placed on a pipe Minimised amount of seams in the casing Withstands dust and splash water, IP54 (NEMA 3)
approved Easy to clean surfaces High visibility orange color New larger heat sink for improved performance in hot
environment. Operating range from -10°C to +50°C (14-122 °F)
Safety – the key design criteria Tested by STUK (Finnish Nuclear and Radiation safety authority),
independent test laboratory
With maximum voltage and current settings leaking radiation is less than 1 μSv/h from any surface
Two independent proximity sensors to ensure that the analyser is in contact with the sample before starting the measurement: IR sensor & count rate proximity sensor
Four bright, highly visible “X-RAYS ON” warning lights
Password protected. PIN code is required to initiate the unit and if the analyser is not being used, it will lock itself in 5 minutes
User training is always provided by Oxford Instruments or authorised re-sellers
Large selection of additional radiation safety accessories are available to protect the user from scattered X-rays when measuring small, thin or low density samples.
Radiation safety accessories for any measurement purpose
Benchtop stand with a visible “X-RAYS ON” warning light and dual fail to safe interlocks. Large Pb enforced measurement chamber for samples of various shape and size.
Light stand and safety shield for measuring small items such as rings, coins and small jewelry.
Light radiation shield provides protection against scattered X-rays when measuring large and flat samples such as plastic sheet, wood, drywall, soil sample bags etc.
New four layer background plate to normalise the background when measuring small samples such as rings, coins etc.
New much smaller and significantly lighter carry case from German manufacturer
By it’s size and weight it easily meets the airline regulations for check in luggage.
Rugged outdoor case, TüV tested
Stores the analyser, spare battery, charger, quick guides, check samples and the light radiation shield. Several compartments for additional small accessories.
Genuine Oxford Instruments’ accessoriesTo boost productivity even further!Accessories to meet your special needs in PMI
testing.
Bench-top Stand. Convert X-MET to bench-top unit in a matter of seconds with Bench-top Stand. Dual fail to safe interlocks and a visible “X-rays on” warning light for uncompromised radiation safety and local compliance.
Light radiation shieldto protect the user when measuring samples that might scatter the
X-rays
Wireless Bluetooth® printer and barcode scanner
Holster for carrying and protecting the X-MET analyser while not in use
