  • 1. These two pictures represent a tracking shotwhich was shown in the first few seconds ofThe Amazing Spiderman. It started with the camera being slightlyclosed up to the little boy (Peter Parker) thenthe camera tracked on from left to right whilezooming a little outwards allowing the viewer tosee the overall setting of the environment in amuch more open way.Once the tracking shot was coming to an end itslowly faded into the correct camera positionwhich the bottom picture shows.

2. This picture shows an Over The ShoulderShot. This shot helps to establish theposition of Peter Parker and also helps theviewer get the feel of looking at Peterfrom another Point Of View. The reason this shot is shown is because ithelps give an idea of what Peter is lookingwhich is a pair of shoes under the curtainwhile also seeing a part of him. This shot is a Medium Close Up shot and isused to show Peters face more closelywithout getting too close. This shot is used to show Peters emotionwhich seems to be a quite shocked emotionto what he has just seen once he hadopened the door. 3. This shot is a close up shot of the spiderin the movie. The reason why a close up shot was used inthis part of the movie was to present thatPeters father was some kind of scientistwho worked with spiders, therefore havinga close up of a spider itself would helpemphasise that. This shot shows a high angle shot of Peter,Peters Mum and Peters Dad.The reason why a high angle shot wasshown is to represent that the family is insome kind of danger/trouble making themless powerful or less significant. 4. This shows a Medium Close Up Shot ofPeter once again, however in a differentstyle. This shot shows a Medium Close Up Shotof Peter through the reflection of thewindow, which portrays that he has lostsomeone from his life. This shows a Two Shot of Peter and the girl he is speaking to in the scene. This shot is used to represent that Peters conversation with the girl is coming to an end and he is ready to walk away. 5. The first few seconds of the movie show a verydark lighting scene, which gives the viewer asense of somethings wrong or something bad isgoing to occur. From this picture you can see the setting of thehouse is a very dark and old looking house, withthe dark brown stairs and also the old fashionedcarpet on the stairs. 6. This shows the room Peter Parker goes in hasbeen trashed or burgled, with papers scatteredeverywhere, which portrays that someone living inPeters house most likely his Father is some kindof Scientist because of all the paperwork and theBlackboard. This shows the whole scene change due to the boyPeter Parker no longer in the scene however theteen Peter Parker is not the character. Also theenvironment has changed from a old fashionedhouse to a High School. 7. (CLICK ON THE VIDEO TO HEAR SOUND) This part of the sound was heard straight away when the movie began and was Non- Diegetic Sound. It takes a dramatic change when the music is upbeat in introduction of the film, but then changes to a slow paced type of sound which you would normally hear in some horror movies.(CLICK ON THE VIDEO TO HEAR SOUND)This part of the sound was heard when Peternoticed that his Dads office had beenbroken into and was also Non-Diegetic Sound. The music changed from the scary type ofmusic to an upbeat car chase kind ofmusic, trying to identify the viewersomething bad had happened. 8. (CLICK ON THE VIDEO TO HEAR SOUND)This part of the sound was heard straight when Peters Dad was leavinghim, but then the scene changed from Peter as a boy, to Peter as a teen. The sound heard was both Diegetic from when the characters werespeaking, but also Non-Diegetic from the music in the background being playedonce the character had changed to the teen Peter. 9. In the opening sequence of TheAmazing Spiderman, there was nosignificant editing effects which tookplace. However there was one main editeffect that took place. This was agraphic match mixed with an opacitydecrease transition. The first clip showed the reflectionof the boy Peter Parker in the windowand than the effects took place andchanged to the reflection of the teenPeter Parker through a school noticeboard.
