HISTORICAL FICTION:
stories that are written to portray a time period or convey
information about a specific time period or a historical eventSetting is the most important literary element
the information about the time period must be accurate & authentic
The purpose of historical fiction is to enable a reader through the
perspective of characters in the story to feel that she or he is present at
the event
