CIRCULAR NO.10/2015 11-9-2015Professor,Fraternal Greetings.

With immense pleasure I am sending this circular. We sent memorandum requesting pensionparity for the college/and university teachers retired prior to 2006 on the basis of the OM issuedby Pension and Pension Welfare Dept, New Delhi, dated 28-1-2013, by post in January 2015to the Hon’ble Minister for Human resources Development, Secretary Dept. of Higher Education,MHRD, Chairman UGC, and Secretary UGC.

Then we submitted memorandum to the Secretary, Dept. of Higher Education, MHRD,Chairman UGC, and Secretary UGC in person on 12-3-2015 with the help of Prof. Meinya.,M.P., (Manipur), and Prof.B.Vijaykumar, our patrons. At that time we submitted twomemoranda-One for teachers retired from Central Universities and another for teachers retiredfrom state universities and colleges affiliated to them.

UGC sent a communication to us asking to contact MHRD regarding State Universities andcolleges. In May, 2015 they got order for Central Universities from MHRD dated 13-5-2015 andin turn they have sent order on 13th Aug, 2015, to all Central Universities and Deemeduniversities implementing the order dated 28-1-2013. It is given below.

THIS IS THE FIRST VICTORY OF AIFRUCTO: WITHIN 2 YEARS OF FORMATIONOF THE FEDERATION WE HAVE ACHIEVED THIS.NO DOUBT WE HAVE TO GO A LONGWAY. HOWEVER MY CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 14 STATE UNITS AFFILIATEDTO-AIFRUCTO AND THE SOLIDARITY THEY HAVE SHOWED.

We will continue our efforts to get the same pension parity to all university and collegeteachers in India and also to get that pension parity implemented from 1-1-2006 instead of Sep,2012. (The Supreme Court has ordered for this change of date.) I am in touch with Prof.Meinya.,M.P., our patron and Prof.Dr.J.N.Shukla, our treasurer to do follow up. Further Prof BubbenChaubey, our vice-president also has come forward to help in this matter.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT MATTER: Prof.Dr.Sridhar Reddy, our National secretaryandProf Pitchiah, Gen.Secretary, TRCTA told me on 8th that it is not possible to organise the ECmeeting of AIFRUCTO on 27thSep as scheduled, since some organisations have decided tomake the last day of ‘Ganesha Festival- Dissolving Ganesha Statues in water’ on that day. Theysay that arrangements are going on to take about a lakh of Ganesha’sstaues for that function. Sothe TelanganaGovt is very serious to see that nothing adverse things happen on that day. Iconsulted our office bearers over phone and WE DECIDED TO POSTPONE THE ECMEETING TO 11TH OCTOBER. If it is postponed further, Pooja holidays follow and thenDeepavali follows. So is this decision. Ion behalf of AIFRUCTO, apologise for the inconveniencecaused to all in reserving tickets for 11th and cancelling tickets taken for the meeting on 27th Sep.
