CONTACT INFORMATION BACK COVER

Those were the words of veteran truck and super late racer, Jerry Wood, as he stood on the podium of an ARCA Truck Tour race at Madison (WI) International Speedway in May of 2013.

Jerry is one of the biggest names in Midwest Truck racing and several times a series champion. The driver he had his arms around was 15 year old Natalie Decker who was making her debut in the ARCA truck series.

Meet the now 17 year old Natalie Decker, who has the talent, the temperament and the determination to continue her meteoric rise from Go Karts, at age 9, to currently racing Super Late Models and she continues to electrify race fans every time she is on the track.

Natalie has earned the admiration and loyalty of Midwest race fans that faithfully follow her at regional races and fans from literally, around the world, who follow her on Face Book.

In the minds of her fans, her crew and even her fellow racers, Natalie is on a fast track to NASCAR. Take the ride with her. She will never disappoint, never embarrass and she will have a legion of race fans watching.

GO WITH HER – AND GROW WITH HER. Natalie will be an attention grabbing ambassador for you.

“This is the only time I have ever hugged another driver in Victory Lane.”

TESTIMONIALS

To whom it may concern:

I am writing on behalf of Natalie Decker regarding her pursuit of racing in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program. I have worked with Natalie over the past two and a half years as both her spotter and crew chief. In that time, I have come to know her and have seen her drive and dedication to get to the next level. Natalie possesses several great qualities, which have been crucial in her moving up in her racing career.

Natalie has been a great person and driver to work with. Her positive attitude and drive has helped her be success-ful in every class she has raced in. Natalie received the Larry Detjen’s Sportsmanship award in the Midwest Truck Tour in 2013, which was a direct result of her attitude and great personality. The expectations I have for Natalie have been set very high and she continues to push herself every day to exceed those expectations.

Being involved with racing for 16 years, I have been impressed with Natalie’s ability to feel the car out and com-municate the necessary changes needed on the car. Natalie has taken the initiative to learn about her race cars. She helps maintain and work on her race cars, which has made her more knowledgeable about the cars. Her com-munication skills are exceptional. She is able to communicate handling characteristics and accurately diagnose handling issues with her cars. Her willingness to work hard and effectively communicate has proven to be one of her greatest assets.

Natalie has several strengths that have brought her success throughout her racing career. Most importantly she has shown great poise when behind the wheel. She is very respectful of her fellow competitors and realizes that finishing races and gaining experience go hand in hand. Her ability to stay out of trouble and smooth driving has been her biggest strength this year. She has raced longer races this year in her super late model and is always one of the fastest cars at the end of the race. The ability to save tires and equipment is something that takes years of experience and she has done it from the very first race. No matter what track we go to I know that she has the ability to be competitive and her driving skills reflect that.

Natalie has all the qualities to become a successful race car driver. Her attitude and ability to self-motivate has el-evated her to a new level. She is easy to work with, has great communication skills, and most importantly has the ability to compete with the very best in racing. Natalie is the perfect candidate for what you are looking for, and I give my highest recommendation for her in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program. If you have any questions regarding this recommendation, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you,

Tom Ress

Dear Driver Diversity Program: Growing up in a family with much racing success, high expectations may prevail when young Natalie Decker straps into her 2014 Super Late Model, and takes to the many asphalt tracks throughout the Midwest! When Natalie made her first appearance at Marshfield Motor Speedway several years ago, she was an instant “hit” with fans and drivers alike. It was very evident that she was going to be someone that other drivers would have to pay attention to, as she gained experience. Now, with putting Super Late Model wins under her belt, she is now one of a handful of drivers that is expected to compete for feature wins at the many competitive tracks throughout Wisconsin. As Natalie has progressed from season to season, she has also become one of the finest persons that I’ve had the priviledge of knowing. Whether it is walking through the pits, the concession area, pit admissions, or anywhere, she always has that bubbly smile on her face and greets everyone. It doesn’t matter if one is a top driver, or a driver that finishes last in the B-main, Natalie always visits and supports all drivers! This young lady has a very bright future in whatever her endeavors are, whether it’s racing at any level, or being a role model to other men and women, boy or girls, she is top notch in everyone’s eyes! In closing, I have the utmost respect for this young lady because she is what a race car driver should be, well-rounded and complete! She is a real person that cares about the future of racing, especially now when the racing industry is having some trying times. As an owner, GM, and promoter of Marshfield Motor Speedway, I am honored to have Natalie compete at my speedway, moreover, call her my friend. Respectfully, and yours in racing,

It is my pleasure to recommend Natalie Decker for the NASCAR Driver for Diversity program. I have had the privilege of working with Natalie during the 2014 race season and believe she would be a strong addition to your program.

This is Natalie’s first year racing a Super Late Model and she made the transition look effortless. She has natural driving skills and is able to be successful in any type of car she races. The transition from Limited Late Models to Super Late Models can be challenging for many drivers, especially when going from a treaded tire to a non-treaded tire. I was with Natalie when she got her first taste of Super Late Model racing at Speedways in Daytona last February. During the course of the week I was impressed with her ability to continue to improve and learn. In a field stacked with competitive cars she brought home top-15 finishes and was not involved in any accidents.

Natalie’s ambition to better her racing skills continued after Speedweeks as she began her racing schedule in Wisconsin. She has brought home a number of top-five finishes and strives to get better every race. As she continues to have success her confidence grows and as she gains more confidence on the track I have seen her be able to compete with the top drivers in the Midwest.

When working with Natalie she is able to give good feedback on the car so that we are able to make the proper adjustments. She is very in tune with what is going on with her car and able to communicate that effectively. She has also made the effort to learn more about the car, coming to the shop and working on the car in between races. Her ambition to learn more about the car and how it works will make her a better driver.

Aside from her racing talent, Natalie is a fun and spunky girl. She always has a smile on her face and is able to lighten the mood of everyone around her. She has a strong work ethic and is always asking questions and looking for ways to improve her abilities. While she has a fun-loving personality, she also knows when it’s time to be serious and get down to business.

If Natalie is accepted into the Drive for Diversity program I know that she will continue to work hard to become the best racecar driver she can. She has big goals and she has the skill and perseverance to attain them. It has been a pleasure to work with Natalie this year and I look forward to watching her take her career to the next level.

Sincerely,

Chris Wimmer
