Bert Gonzales reported that cutting throughthe weld was not any harder than cutting through T6-6061 Al

Dremel tool kit also has a fiber-glass reinforcedemery grinding wheel.

Bert says that this is harder to control. Ittends to jump a bit.

Emery wheel is recommended.

If aggressively grinding the weld:

Worse case temperature = (90 C – 24 C)*(1.3e3/900) + 24 C = 119 C

If gently grinding the weld:

Worse case temperature = (50 C – 24 C)*(1.3e3/900) + 24 C = 62 C
