Who?1998 – GWP CEE was founded to manage water resources in a
sustainable way in the CEE region
2000 – helps to implement of EU water legislation on national level
2005 – GWP CEE experts study on the state of sanitation in agglomeration with less then 2000 inhabitants reveals that:
• 20-40% of population in the CEE region are not connected to central sewerage and treatment systems
• Solutions of wastewater problems are not envisaged before 2015
2006 – GWP CEE established Task Force for Sustainable Sanitation

Way?

But!!!• 30 Millions inhabitants live in small settlements (< 2000 inhabitants) in
GWP CEE countries
• Generally there is a lack of information about sustainable sanitation systems for small settlements
What?
The new book from GWP CEE!!!
