• high dependency – traditional cooperation of local communities and bus companies – high public costs with low efficiency for users

• A remaining car dependency in rural areas• risk of social exclusion• A risk of territorial exclusion• Mobility approaches are too little seen as

precondition for working places, development of SME.s, reduction of CO2,….

• lack of overall policy approach and support for innovative mobility solutions in the countryside

Key recomendations

• Regions and local communities need to be encouraged and supported to develop innovative multimodal mobility solutions in the countryside and in cross border areas

• Policy documents should openly support mobility solutions and help regions and local communities to overcame different limitations and obsticles that hinter the quicker development of solutions
