O Festival On Line de Artes Digitais, na sua 10ª edição, surge sob a égide da colaboração em rede. Pretende explorar as potencialidades da internet na divulgação da arte digital, apresentando mostras on line, scrennings e vídeo instalações em variados espaços alternativos, apresentações em streaming em simultâneo em vários espaços do mun-do, workshops, residências, etc.O programa do Festival tem vindo consecu-tivamente a alterar-se, adequando-se aos parceiros com os quais tem mantido cola-borações, no sentido de uma maior aproxi-mação à comunidade artística e ao público em geral.O Festival tem como objectivos essenciais a promoção da criação e divulgação de projectos digitais ao nível da fotografia, pintura digital, web arte, com especial in-cidência na área da vídeo arte. Das cerca de 122 propostas foram seleccionadas 58. Para além dos artistas que directamente “concorreram ao festival”, participaram mais 75 artistas ligados a protocolos es-tabelecidos com outros festivais e mais 4 convidados, num total de 137 artistas. Destaque ainda para a participação direc-ta no festival de Francesca Leoni e Davi-de Mastrangelo (It), Astrid Elizabeth Bang (Nw), António Azenha (Pt), David Q (Pt), Eunice Artur (Pt), Barbara Hertiman (Vz), Mario Gutiérrez Cru (Es), Lynn Vargas (CR) e Ana Caetano (Pt). Foi ainda realizada uma mostra no MACA Junin (Buenos Aires, Argentina) numa parceria com o Projecto Videoplay, e no Espaço Intermediae (Ma-tadero, Madrid, Espanha), numa parceria com o Festival Proyector.Em parceria com a Galeria Santa Clara, o Exploratório de Coimbra e o Pavilhão Cen-tro de Portugal, foram apresentadas vá-rias mostras de vídeo arte, performance e projectos de vídeo instalação, em parceria com vários festivais internacionais: Mag-mart (Itália), Miden (Grécia), Proyector (Espanha), Videoplay (Argentina) e Colog-ne OFF (Alemanha).

The Online Digital Arts Festival in its 10th edition comes under the aegis of networked collabora-tion, intending to explore the potential of the internet in the dissemination of digital art in the form of presentation of shows online, scrennin-gs and video installations in various alternative spaces presentations streamed simultaneously at various areas of the world, workshops, resi-dencies, etc.The Festival program has been consecutively to change themselves, adapting to partners with whom it has maintained its relationship towards a closer approximation to the artistic communi-ty and the general public.The Festival has as its main objectives are to promote the creation and dissemination of di-gital projects at the level of photography, digi-tal painting, web art with a focus in the field of video art. Of the approximately 122 proposals were selected 58. In addition to the artists who directly “compete for the festival,” attended by over 75 artists linked to established protocols with other festivals and 4 more guests, a total of 137 artists. Also noteworthy was the direct participation in the festival Francesca Leoni and Davide Mastrangelo (It), Astrid Elizabeth Bang (Nw), António Azenha (Pt), David Q (Pt), Euni-ce Arthur (Pt), Barbara Hertiman (Vz), Mario Gutiérrez Cru (Es), Lynn Vargas (CR) and Ana Caetano (Pt). It was also performed a show at MACA Junin (Buenos Aires, Argentina) in part-nership with the VideoPlay Project, and Space Intermediae (Matadero, Madrid, Spain), in par-tnership with Projector Festival.

The performance and dance areas are growing at the festival. This year four performances and two dances distributed over four areas were presented:Francesca Leoni & David Mastrangelo, with the collaboration of 15 students from Avelar Brotero Secondary School, presented the performance Jeune fille, on May 3, at Center’s Portugal Pavilion. António Azenha, on May 24, in Portugal Pavilion Center, presented a performance on the con-text of the residence of Astrid Elizabeth Bang. David Q, held a performance at the outdoor gardens of the Exploratorium of Coimbra, on June 21.The collective Essere Aria showed a video dance at the Center’s Portugal Pavilion, on May 24 with Mario Gutiérrez Cru (Es) and Lynn Vargas (CR), and a dance / performance at the Muni-cipal Oficine Theater, on July 12, with Mario Gutiérrez Cru and Ana Caetano.In the same Theater, Sérgio Gomes presented the performance Identity.

A performance e a dança são áreas em crescimento no festival. No corrente ano foram apresentadas 4 performances e 2 danças distribuídas por 4 espaços:Francesca Leoni & David Mastrangelo, com a colaboração de 15 alunos da Escola Secundária Avelar Brotero, apresentaram a performance Jeune Fille, a 3 Maio, no Pavi-lhão Centro de Portugal.António Azenha, a 24 Maio, no Pavilhão Centro de Portugal, apresentou uma per-formance integrada no projecto de resi-dência de Astrid Elizabeth Bang.David Q, realizou a performance A Toca nos jardins exteriores do Exploratório de Coimbra, a 21 de Junho.O colectivo Essere Aria apresentou uma vídeo dança no Pavilhão Centro de Portu-gal em 24 Maio com Mário Gutiérrez Cru (Es) e Lynn Vargas (CR), e uma dança / performance na Oficina Municipal do Tea-tro, a 12 Julho, com Mário Gutiérrez Cru e Ana Caetano.Na mesma Oficina Municipal de Teatro, Sérgio Gomes apresentou a performance Identidade.

Em francês jeune-fille é uma expressão usada para definir mulheres jovens, expressão da juventude e feminilidade. No texto do grupo filosófico Tiqqun, esta palavra assume, porém, um significado muito mais profundo, que nasce da derrota da teoria do feminismo e abrange uma sociedade onde o ser humano está a transformar-se dia a dia num bem de consumo. A jeune-fille transforma-se, então, num bem vivente, que caminha, fala e pode, como cada coisa, ser vendida. A sociedade jeune-fille é dirigida à aparência do ser humano em quanto consumidor e consumido por um ideal estético que não esconde nada atrás da simples aparência, a não ser um completo vazio. “A jeune-fille vende hoje a sua força sedutiva, como uma vez os homens vendiam a força do trabalho”, “se o dinheiro é o rei das coisas, então a jeune-fille é a rainha”. A jeune-fille é a moda, o poder político, a obsessão com a aparência, a juven-tude, a eterna tendência em ter um controle total sobre o próprio corpo, o parecer e não o ser. Trabalhando sobre esse conceito, o grupo Con.Tatto criou, durante a residência artística no festival Fonlad em Coimbra, uma performance que resume, em alguns pontos, a teoria da Jeune-fille trabalhando sobre algumas acções quotidianas que fazem, de cada um de nós, um pouco jeune- fille. A apresentação foi acompanhada por uma série de frases e imagens vídeo, indispensáveis no trabalho artístico e na poética de Con.Tatto. Nesta acção participou, pela primeira vez, um grupo de jovens, que se prestaram a fazer parte da performance, que através da acção procura a fazer uma critica e auto-crítica a jeune-fille que está a dominar a nossa so-ciedade, a jeune-fille que está escondida, mais ou menos, em cada um de nós.

Con.Tatto é um grupo artístico constítuido em Junho de 2011 por Francesca Leoni e Davide Mastrangelo, ambos vídeo artistas e performers, para dar “Voz” a sensibilidades e experiências profissionais no sector da performance art. A poética do grupo desenvolve--se na contínua pesquisa e estudo sobre o homem, em relação a si mesmo e em relação à sociedade con-temporânea, expressando-se através de uma linguagem simbólica e física, seja no sector da vídeo arte ou na performance ao vivo. Con.Tatto is an art group formed in June 2011 by Francesca Leoni and Davide Mastrangelo, both video artists and performers, to give “voice” to sensiti-vities and professional experiences in the perfor-ming art sector. The poetics of the group develops in continuous research and study of man in relation to himself and in relation to contemporary society, expressing itself through symbolic and physical lan-guage, either in the video or art sector in live perfor- mance. Em residência artística, Astrid Elizabeth Bang explorou a coreografia da cidade. Tomando como centro um personagem desenvolvido pelo performer António Azenha, Astrid desenvolveu um projecto usando as movimentações da população, da natureza e dos ob-jectos numa procura do pulsar da cidade. Astrid Elizabeth Bang nasceu em Trinidad e Tobago. Vive actualmente na Noruega. Estudou na Universidade de Oslo e no Colégio das Artes de Oslo. Desde 2004 tem participado em várias exposições e festivais na Noruega, Europa, Síria e Nova Yorque.

In residency, Astrid Elizabeth Bang explored the choreography of the city. Having as center a character developed by the performer Antonio Azenha, Astrid developed a project using the movements of the population, the nature and objects in a search of the pulse of the city.

Astrid Elizabeth Bang born in Trinidad and Tobago. Lives and works in Norway. She was educated at the University of Oslo and the Oslo College of Arts. Since 2004 she has participated in exhibitions and festivals in Norway, throughout Europe, in Syria and New York.

NÃO OLHAR FIXAMENTEUma viagem intimista, onde a alternância entre o exibicionismo e o voyeurismo atinge o seu clímax no que parece ser um sonho. Trata-se de realidade ou aparência?O risco da descoberta é parte deste diálogo secreto, onde se revela o que está escondido.

Barbara Hertiman nasceu em Caracas, Venezuela, em 1987. Desde o início realizou estudos formais em pintura recebendo orientação de artistas de topo ve-nezuelanos. Grau de Bacharel em Artes Visuais (Mixed Media) pelo Instituto Universitário de Estudios Supe-riores de Artes Plásticas Armando Reveron - IUESAPAR (hoje Universidade de Artes - UNEARTE) em Caracas.No âmbito da sua investigação combina diferentes meios para criar obras artísticas com elementos ín-timos e reflexivos no desenvolvimento de instalações e ambientes, que provocam múltiplas leituras, per-mitindo ao espectador a transformação do espaço. Da mesma forma, executa um amplo trabalho em fotografia, vídeo e peças interactivas, imergindo o espectador em diferentes estágios ( lugares) no interior da mesma obra .Através de variados médiuns, cria peças que são ba-seadas no estudo da luz e reflexos em objectos e a sua relação com o espaço, usando várias técnicas na construção de instalações, esculturas, atmosferas e assemblages que constituem a sua linguagem artística contemporânea.Participou em várias exposições colectivas de Fotografia em Caracas. Os seus vídeos e instala-ções têm sido exibidos em importantes mostras na Venezuela. Desde 2010 tem participado em importan-tes festivais internacionais de vídeo arte para os quais foi seleccionada. Realizou residências em Barranquilla (Colômbia) e Buenos Aires (Argentina).

Barbara Hertiman was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1987. Since the beginning made formal studies in painting receiving guidance from top artists Vene-zuelans. Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts (Mixed Me-dia) by the University Institute of Higher Studies of Plastic Arts Armando Reveron - IUESAPAR (now Univer-sity of the Arts - UNEARTE) in Caracas.As part of its research combines different media to create artistic works with intimate and reflective elements in the development of facilities and envi-ronments that cause multiple readings, allowing the viewer to transform the space. Similarly, performs extensive work in photography, video and interacti-ve pieces, immersing the viewer in different stages (places) within the same work.Through various mediums, creates pieces that are ba-sed on the study of light and reflections on objects and their relationship to space, using various tech-niques in the construction of installations, sculp-tures, assemblages and atmospheres that constitute its contemporary artistic language.SHe participated in several group exhibitions of photography in Caracas. Eunice Arthur lives and works in Lisbon. It is licen-sed in Fine Arts from ESAD.CR. currently is attending the Masters in Creation Contemporary Artistic at the University of Aveiro. He has participated in several group and solo exhibitions. Your search results in exploring the limits, and the body’s relation to spa-ce, a reflection in comparison with the movement and the matter. A study that passes through the photogra-phy, sound, drawing, video, sculpture, installation and performance.

Eunice Artur vive e trabalha em Lisboa. É licenciada em Artes Plásticas pela Esad.CR. Actualmente encontra-se a frequentar o mestrado em Criação Artística Contemporânea na Universidade de Aveiro. Tem participado em várias exposições colectivas e individuais. A sua pesquisa resulta na exploração dos limites, e na relação do corpo com o espaço, numa reflexão em confronto com o movimento e a maté-ria. Um estudo que passa pela fotografia, som, dese-nho, vídeo, escultura, instalação e a performance.

A TOCA“A Toca” é uma metáfora à repetição do dia a dia. A performance faz parte de um corpo de trabalho, ini-ciado em 2014, incluído numa temática mais ampla designada de Estado Semi Novo.“Falhar as tarefas da vida de todos os dias. Vencer as tarefas da vida de todos os dias. Repetir o mesmo exercício até à perfeição. Repetir o mesmo exercí-cio até à exaustão. Repetir a mesma tarefa todos os dias até à exaustão. Repetir a mesma tarefa todos os dias até à perfeição. A vida como tarefa da morte. A morte como repetição da tarefa da vida. E assim, sempre, até ao fim...“

David Q tem 42 anos, vive em Aveiro. É actor, performer e encenador. Desenvolve a sua activi-dade profissional no Teatro Aveirense. Frequen-ta actualmente o mestrado em criação artística contemporânea na Universidade de Aveiro.

A TOCA / THE BURROW“The Burrow” is a metaphor to the repetition of everyday life. IDENTIDADEPerformance e vídeo: Sérgio GomesSom ao vivo: Júlio Chavez Sérgio Gomes tem vindo a reflectir, desde há alguns anos, sobre o tema da identidade. Nesse âmbito, apresentou recentemente, na Alliance Française de Coimbra, o trabalho Não sou propriamente um artista.Este novo projecto - Identidade -, é uma combinação de performance, instalação vídeo e videomapping, com ambiente sonoro ao vivo de Júlio Chaves, que aborda o tema a partir do ponto de vista do aspecto exterior e do parecer.

Sérgio Gomes (Coimbra, 1969). Tirou um Curso de Cinevídeo e Multimédia na produtora Real Ficção no ano de 1997.Em 2004, conjuntamente com Pedro Almeida, deu origem ao Projecto Videolab, do qual é presi-dente desde a sua origem.No âmbito do Projecto Videolab tem desenvol-vido actividades dentro da imagem em movimento cujo objectivo é explorar novos caminhos para a apresentação da mesma, nomeadamente através da procura novos espaços, públicos e contextos.

Sérgio Gomes has been reflected, for some years, on the subject of identity. Sérgio Gomes (Coimbra, 1969). Na sua décima edição, o Festival Fonlad apresenta um conjunto de video instalações espalhadas por vários espaços da cidade de Coimbra.Os espaços escolhidos para acolher este ano as instalações (Galeria Santa Clara, Pavilhão Centro de Portugal, Exploratório de Coimbra e Oficina Mu-nicipal do Teatro) apresentaram um conjunto bas-tante variado de projecções em variados espaços, como muros, janelas, portas, paredes, tendas, etc, nos quais foram apresentados 15 obras de Adrian Chávez (Mx), Ana B. & Nuno M Pereira (Pt), Angella Conte (Br), Barbara Hertiman (Vz), Clara Aparicio Yoldy (Es), Francesca Fini (It), Grupo Si-nestético (It), Lska (It), Marko Schiefelbein (De), Rachel Wagner (De), Red Bind (Fr), Tina Willgren (Sw), UMA Project, S-ara (Pt) e Sara Magno (Pt). Nestas apresentações procurou-se sempre esta-belecer uma relação estética com o espaço envol-vente, criando um diálogo com a arquitectura e os objectos / equipamentos existentes.

Following the athletes entrainments on the region, preparing themselves for the distan-ce, the installation offers to the visitor the possi-bility of an immersion in the psychological time of “being in trajectory” as the link between the distance and the effort to do it, the duration and the extension of the tiredness, giving measure, an order of greatness, to each one experience.The triptych works as the image enfolder and intensifier, enlarging the diverse possibilities of perception depending on the combination between the visitor position and the image se-quences. This dynamic relation between the image horizon and the installation visitor is an equivalent to the dynamic relation between the runner and the territory of the race.

A instalação constrói a memória cenográfica do território onde a prova se realiza e aborda o concei-to de “trajectividade”, tão caro a Paul Virilio, como forma de conhecimento do mundo.Seguindo os treinos dos atletas na região, pre-parando-se para a prova, a instalação oferece ao visitante a possibilidade de imersão na intensida-de desse tempo psicológico do “Ser em trajecto”, como o vínculo que liga a distância e o esforço, a duração e a extensão de uma fadiga física, dando medida, uma grandeza sensível, à experiência de cada um.O tríptico funciona como um desdobrador e intensi-ficador das imagens, ampliando e diversificando as possibilidades de percepção por parte do visitante em função da combinação entre o ponto de vista onde se encontre e as sequências da montagem. Uma relação dinâmica entre o horizonte de ima-gem e o visitante da instalação como equivalente da dinâmica da relação entre corredor e território da corrida.

An intriguing challenge for videoartists, worldwide.Sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch. Through these five senses we interact with the world - and with other human peoples. They are our interface. Sen-ses are the medium between the world and us. Are the instruments of feeling. They channel to us all the informations that become from universe, they supply - even literally - the food for our body and for our mind.The number five is a joining link too.
