Radha was playing with her toys all by herself , when she suddenly remembered that tomorrow was

SHOW AND TELL in her class. Janaki didi, her class teacher had even put a note in her diary a week back.

How could she forget? What could she do now at the last minute! All her friends would show something

nice and she what would she show?

Radha burst into tears and sobbed and sobbed. Charlotte, the house spider , threw herself down her

slik thread and looked lovingly at the little girl. Charlotte loved girls and this was her favourite girl as she

never dusted the cobwebs away and told everybody to do the same. Imagine making your home all the

time- it was a back breaking job!

Charlotte called out Radhas name very softly. No point in scaring the little girl . Radha continued

sobbing. Raaaadha. In a singsong voice now called Charlotte. Radha looked around. She could

not see anyone. Where was that sweet voice coming from.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, I am Charlotte , breezed down the spider. Radha loved animals and clapped with joy to

hear a spider talking. She told Charlotte all about her forgetfulness.

Charlotte tickled Radha with all her 6 legs to make her laugh. I dont want to take my toys as everyone

will bring a toy. I want to take something different. Charlotte had an idea. Why dont you take me?,

she said swinging around Radha merrily. I can do many things . Radha was confused. Will the children

treat Charlotte right? Would the naughty ones try to trouble her and Charlotte.

I CAN DO MANY THINGS . I can tell funnily funny jokes, ridiculous riddles, tangy tongue twisters to

make my friends laugh

I can swing like a trapeze artist and do terrific stunts !

I will soon be famous. Whenever you put on the TV, it will be me, me and meeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Yipeeeeee! said a breezily delighted Charlotte.

Put me in your bag or I will hop and follow you to school. Any way is good enough for me. Your wish is

my command , sang Charlotte.

The rumbling in Radhas stomach grew so loud , that Charlotte had to shut her ears . Lets sprint to the

kitchen , boomed Radha.

Mothers making jalebis , I can smell them a mile away, said Radha. Both of them rushed into the

kitchen.

Radha and Charlotte munched happily on the snaky , sweet, juicy jalebis. Radha was happy as she had

just made a super new friend. She couldnt wait for tomorrow.
