Water is a critical element for human survival. It makes up approximately two-thirds of the body. Most of the body's water is found in the blood vessels, cells, and the spaces between the cells. A water deficit of as little as 2% of body weight can impair your capacity for exercise. For the body to function correctly, adequate hydration is a must. When the body loses more water than it takes in, dehydration occurs.
