Mountain Sports Festival is a three day, Memorial Day weekend event, now in its 16th year, that celebrates community, athletics, and local business while showcasing the unique mountain terrain and culture of Asheville and its surroundings. The Mountain Sports Festival is a nonprofit event, free to the public and committed to presenting a well-balanced series of events and entertainment that encourages participation by people of all ages. The Festival would not be possible each year without the generous support of local and national organizations sponsoring the event through financial investments and product donations. Venue Info The Mountain Sports Festival is held at Carrier Park in Asheville, NC, utilizing a mini-velodrome, river access, and miles of greenway trails to host a variety of sporting events, as well as a Vendor Village, Main Stage for musical entertainment, Kids Village, and a Demo and Clinics Stage.

Attendees

Attendee Statistics Approximately 10,000 participants and spectators take part in the MSF and its events every year. They mostly come from North Carolina, Upstate South Carolina, Southern Virginia, Eastern Tennessee, North Georgia, Southeastern Kentucky, and Washington, DC. The gender of attendees is ~58% male, 42% female Income Levels: average attendee income is approximately $67,300/year

The Mountain Sports Festival features professional and amateur level competitions featuring 900-1200 athletes per year engaged in a number of sports and activities, including:
