We all know that feeding a balanced diet is

important for optimum health and wellbeing.

Horses and ponies are individuals, with

individual requirements and sometimes

do not require the recommended level

of compound feed to meet their energy

requirements. However, feeding less than

the recommended amount of compound feed

can lead to long term deficiencies and an

unbalanced diet. This is particularly the case

when horses and ponies are fed forage and

or grass alone.

SPILLERS® Balancers

We have developed a comprehensive range

of whole cereal free balancers to suit

your horse or pony’s individual needs. The

range includes SPILLERS® Original Balancer

suitable for all horses and ponies. This

balancer also offers you the flexibility to

feed a variety of horses and ponies across

a yard. The SPILLERS® Lite Balancer has

been formulated for the specialist needs

of all ‘good doers’ and overweight horses

and ponies, offering a truly balanced diet

without unwanted calories. The SPILLERS®

Lite Balancer is also suitable for horses

and ponies prone to laminitis. SPILLERS®

Senior Balancer offers unrivalled nutrition

and joint support for the older horse or

pony to help keep them in optimal condition.

For performance horses SPILLERS®

Performance Balancer delivers additional

essential vitamins and minerals necessary to

support the equine athlete. SPILLERS® Gro

‘N Win® Stud Balancer meets the increased

nutritional needs of foals, youngstock and

pregnant or lactating mares.

Optimal health and wellbeing

SPILLERS® Balancers have all been

designed to provide enhanced daily

balanced nutrition without the worry

of over supplementation. Each balancer

has been carefully formulated to provide

individual nutrition which includes essential

amino acids, oils, vitamins, minerals and

organic trace elements to support overall

wellbeing and fertility.

Optimum muscle health and topline

SPILLERS® Balancers contain high quality

protein which are rich in essential amino

acids (EAA) including lysine and methionine.

These EAA’s provide the blocks to build

muscle, topline and support muscle repair

after intense work. Also included are

generous levels of important antioxidants

including vitamin E and organic selenium

which support optimal muscle function.

Digestive health

SPILLERS® Balancers also contain live

probiotic yeast and in some cases and the

prebiotic MOS (manna oligosaccharide) to

stimulate the growth of ‘good’ bacteria whilst

helping to remove ‘bad’ bacteria from the

digestive tract. This alongside the low starch

levels found in all SPILLERS® Balancers helps

to support optimum digestive health, which

in turn may help optimum absorption of

nutrients from the gut.

Temperament

There are many factors that influence

a horse’s temperament and nutrition is

one of these. The over feeding of cereal

starch can contribute to excitable and

spooky behaviour in some horses and

ponies. SPILLERS® Balancers have been

formulated without the addition of whole

cereal grains, helping to keep the sugar

and starch levels as low as possible. Also

included in all SPILLERS® Balancers is

magnesium alongside generous levels of B

vitamins both of which are known for their

calming properties.

Healthy Hooves

All SPILLERS® Balancers contain effective

levels of biotin (15mg/500g serving) which

when combined with lysine, methionine,

calcium, organic zinc and copper can help

support strong healthy hooves.

Healthy, flexible joints

Some SPILLERS® Balancers contain

glucosamine alongside essential amino acids,

organic trace elements and antioxidants to

support joint health.

Supple skin and shiny coats

We all know that one sign of a healthy

horse is a shiny coat. All SPILLERS®

Balancers contain optimal levels of vitamins

and minerals alongside soya oil to help

contribute to supple skin and a shiny coat.

Good bone development and strength

All SPILLERS® Balancers contain optimum

levels of calcium, phosphorus, organic

copper and zinc and magnesium to support

bone strength.

Respiratory Health

Some SPILLERS® Balancers contain

generous levels of a highly available source

of vitamin C to support healthy lungs.

that are influenced by many factors including age, workload, weather and quality

of grazing/forage.

◆ Clean fresh water should be available at all times.

◆ Good quality forage should be included in the diet at a minimum of 50% of the
