HELPING OUR KIDS IN OUR COUNTY.Did you know that the Sonoma Harvest Wine Auction provides more charitable

funds than any other event in Sonoma County? When you experience a joyful

afternoon at the Sonoma Harvest Wine Auction you are securing the future for

vital Sonoma County charitable programs.

GIVE A CHILD A FUTURE IF KIDS CAN’T READ, THEY CAN’T SUCCEED Our 2014 fund the future supports essential reading programs that foster

literacy skills and reading comprehension for our at-risk elementary school kids.

In Sonoma County, we believe that strong reading skills lead to a better future.

Currently, more than 50% of Sonoma County’s third grade students read below

proficiency. Your donation to Fund the Future will help dramatically increase the

number of Sonoma County children who learn to read and succeed. By simply

raising your paddle, you can create a ripple effect in a child’s life that leads to a

better future, not only for each of them, but for our community as a whole.

If you cannot attend, but would like to ignite a child’s love of learning

by donating to Fund the Future, ring us at 707.935.0803 x 1.

HONORARY CHAIRSMeet our 2014 Sonoma Wine Country Weekend Honorary Chairs, chosen

for their community leadership and contribution to their profession:

Ferrer Family, Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyard“Our passion for bringing méthode champenoise sparkling wines to Sonoma Valley’s

Carneros was motivated by my father’s dream to make wines in the New World—a

dream I shared with my wife Gloria. When we first visited Sonoma from Spain more

than 40 years ago, we fell in love with its rich wine history and pioneering spirit.

Our family is honored to give back to a community that has become our second home

by co-chairing this extraordinary event.”

—Jose and Gloria Ferrer, Proprietors

Klein Family, Rodney Strong Vineyards“There are no shortcuts to making world-class wine. It requires complete dedication

to quality with outstanding vineyard sites like we’ve got here in Sonoma County.

It also takes committed craftsmen with the right tools in the vineyard and cellar.

Sonoma County is our home, where we live and where we work, and there are no

shortcuts when it comes to supporting our community either. Sonoma Wine Country

Weekend combines a wonderful way to experience Sonoma County while raising

funds to support organizations that benefit our community.”

—Tom Klein, Proprietor
