Social networking is a good form of entertainment, meeting new people with similar interests but also can be a very effective business technique for writers, actors, musicians and all over.

University surveyed 1,600 executives and found that companies that depend on heavy social networks scored 24% higher on the measure of radical innovation then companies that don’t.

PROMOTION- The government can use social networking to further promote gov’t information and services.

RECRUITING- They can also use these sites to advertise jobs, ask questions, and increase awareness about these jobs.

NASA- actually built its own community building and collaborative workspace site and supports online and offline communities collaborating with them.

GOV’T AGENCIES- EPA created its own Facebook network and has over 750 members from government agencies.

Some careers are directed right at Social networking and developing a relationship with the public and a certain organization. A career that would deal with this would be someone involved with Public Relations.

A Public Relations Consultant helps a business promote themselves in a manner where the public accepts them and is satisfied. Social networking sites are key to any PR Consultant because a majority of promoting the company is happening online.

Communications and Social networking depend on each other to keep a business or organization popular and positive in the public eye. They keep positive attitudes with the consumers of those products so that they become life-long with the company.

Many organizations and businesses have developed social networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace, Cyworld and Bebo to promote themselves to the public.

Social networks and the need to communicate are universal human conditions. A general assumption is that communication technologies help to increase and strengthen social ties

Social networking among US broadband users has grown an impressive 93% since 2006, and has increased the amount of time people spend communicating online 18%, to 32% of total online time, according to a new report from Netpop Research from LLC that delves into social networking trends and habits.

Social networking is a main part of communications for every organization today. Social networking is a significant part to communications today because it is a large portion of how an organization promotes themselves.

Through social networking the public decides whether the organization is a success or failure.
