recruiters review online information about job applicants before making a hiring decision.

Of those, 70% said that they have rejected candidates based on information they have found online.

According to a 2012 Jobvite survey, 92% of U.S.

companies use social networks to find talent.

A full 90% of those employers have had success hiring someone through LinkedIn.

92% of companies use LinkedIn to find talent, and 67% use Facebook and 54% use Twitter.

Is this a trend that will continue?

92% of employers actively hiring in 2012 currently use or plan to recruit via social networks (UP from 89% in 2011, and 78% 5 years ago).

In addition, 55% of hiring companies plan to invest more in social recruiting while only 16% will spend more on job boards and 31% will spend less!
