Equation Editor & MathType:
Use copy-n-paste or Notebook's Screen Capture Tool to put the expression into Notebook. Experiment with these approaches, as the results do vary. Adjusting the size of the original expression may create a better copy.
The screen capture approach brings the white background with it. This can be removed by using the Picture Transparency feature.
TIES Education Technology Conference 2011, Geri Feiock
7
121211
The equation will not be editable in Notebook unless you have SMART Math Tools and use the copy/paste approach. If you don't have SMART Math Tools, you may want to save your original Word document for future editing.
Sometimes the Equation Editor is not available in Word. In that case, exit compatibility mode by going to File > Info > Convert (Compatibility Mode).
