Direct entry of item details in item details grid. The steps are:o Select the required fieldso Specify the common fields, if anyo Enter the item detailso Save the details in the item details grid

Copy item details from an MS-Excel sheet and paste it in item details grid. Thesteps are:o Create an MS-Excel sheet with the same order of data columns as in item

details grid of Item Master Entry windowo Enter the values for each data columno Copy the details from MS-Excel sheet and paste it in the item details grido Save the details in the item details grid



Best Practices

Verify the details in the MS-Excel sheet before copying it

Check whether the information copied from MS-Excel sheet is correctly pastedin the respective data columns in the item details grid

Check whether the values are correct with respect to the data type defined foreach data

Make sure that none of the columns is left blank or with null values
