Introduction:

Detailed Summary of Shop By Brand Extension: This Extension is generally used to show

brand slider on CMS pages, Category pages based on selection you did from admin side. You

can create group of brands from admin side and show brands as a group on frontend.

You can also able to setup your existing attributes as a brand using shop by brand extension.

This extension also allow you to add featured brands functionality so with the help of that

functionality you can able to show featured brand as shop by brand slider.

This extension also allows you to auto suggested brands functionality. As per input you

provide in search area it will show auto suggested brands list.

Shop by Brand Extension also provide to show all brands listing in alphabetically order on

frontend as a show simple brand list or show brand list based on Ajax search.

Shop by Brand Extension also provides you featured to show brand images on product page.

Shop by Brand Extension also provide you SEO URL functionality with the help of this

functionality it will generate SEO URL of Brands while redirecting to search resulted page.

Our extension is easy to setup and give many options which are configuring from admin.

Features of this extension:

Set shop by brands Image Height and width from system configuration.

Show brands GroupWise.

Use existing attribute for Brand slider.

Enable/disable slider navigation functionality from system configuration.

Enable/disable slider auto scroll functionality from system configuration.

Set title of All Brands, Featured Brands from system configuration.

SEO enabled URL’s for all brands and you can able to enabled/disabled it from

system configuration.

Set each group slider vertical/horizontal from backend.

Set brand slider on CMS pages, Category Pages automatically from backend.

Allow you to display all brands as simple listing, Ajax-wise listing, Featured Brand,

and auto suggested brands functionality.

Auto adjusts position of slider on top and bottom of CMS pages, Category Pages

based on selection of position of group from admin.

You can set Meta title, Description and keywords of brand.




Work with Multi-Website and Multi-Stores.

Display brand image on Product page automatically. Supported Magento Community 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3




Configuration Settings:

You must have to follow below steps:

Step-1

Go to Backend -> STORES → Configuration → MAGEBEES -> Shop By Brand.

You will get Following Screen.

From here you can able to manage the shop by brand functionality.




General Tab Settings

1. Enable Extension

You can able to enable or disable extension as per your requirement.

2. Display on Product Page

It allows you to show brand image on product page based on selection you did from admin

side. If you assign attribute option to products than it will show image of that attribute

option on product page.

3. Enable Slider Auto Scroll

It allows you to enable or disable auto sliding feature. If you set yes it will show slider with

auto scroll on frontend.

4. Height/Width

It will allow you to set height and width of brand images.

5. Enable Navigation

It helps you to enable/disable slider next-previous navigation button.

6. Enable Tooltip

It helps you to enable/disable Tooltip from admin side for slider. If you enable it than when

you mouse over particular image in slider, it will show you brand description under tooltip

otherwise it will not.

7. Featured Brands Heading

You can set heading of featured brands block from here. Whatever heading you specify here

will be show as a title under featured brand functionality.

8. All Brands Heading

You can set heading of All Brands block from here. Whatever heading you specify here will

be show as a title under All Brand functionality.

9. Enable SEO Url




This feature is used for SEO URL purpose. Once you set SEO URL Enabled its will display SEO

URL instead of Magento default redirects URL to redirect you search result page.

10. Sort Order

Based on selection of Sort order, brands image will show on front either name-wise or

position wise.

Note: You need specify Sort order of Brands images from shop by brand system

configuration “By Position” features work.

Featured Brand Information Tab

This tab is generally helps you when you want to show Featured Brand Slider in your

Magento Store. You just need to copy code from either of three i.e. XML Tag

Representation, Template Tag Representation or Call via Frontend Template File and put

that code where you want i.e. either on your theme layout [.xml] files or template [.phtml]

or under CMS page. Once you do this, Feature Brand slider will show on that particular

position where you put extension code. We will see how it works later on.

All Brand Information Tab

This tab helps you when you want to show All Brands on your store. Here we allow you to set

brand listing in two different formats.

o Using Simple Listing Brands

o Using Ajax Listing Brands

You just need to copy code either of format and put that code where you want i.e. either on

your theme layout [.xml] files or template [.phtml] or under CMS page. Once you do this, All

Brand will show on that particular position Based on the format of code you put from admin

side. We will see how it works later on.

Auto Search Brand Information Tab

As name suggested this tab is generally helps you when you want to show Auto Brand

Search functionality in your Magento Store. You just need to copy code from either of three

i.e. XML Tag Representation, Template Tag Representation or Call via Frontend Template File

and put that code where you want i.e. either on your theme layout [.xml] files or template

[.phtml] or under CMS page. Once you do this, Auto Search Brand Functionality will display

on that particular position. We will see how it works later on.

Brands Tab




If you want to use your existing attribute with shop by brand functionality features at that

time this functionality will help you for the same. You just need to set your existing attribute

code here for example

As we set “manufacturer” code in above example you need to do same on your store once

you do this and save configuration this shop by brand extension will work with your existing

attribute option values.




Manage Shop By Brand Extension:

Manage Group Section:

This feature of Shop By Brand Extension is generally used when you want to show brands as a group

on your front end store. With this feature you can able to create multiple groups of brands and you

can able to show it where ever you want to show it using its code snippet or based on selection from

admin. Please follow below steps.

Step-1

Go to Backend -> CONTENT -> MageBees - Shop By Brand.

Step-2

Click on Manage Group.

You will get Following Screen.

Step-3

Click on Add New Group button from Right side.

You will get following screen.




Manage Group also provide you a features like

General Information Tab Settings

Group Name: You can able to specify Title of groups.

Show Group Name: Select yes for display the Group Name on frontend.

Status: You can able to Active/Deactivate Group Slider from admin.

Position: it allows you to set and show brands on top/bottom of content area. Once

you set Position Brand group automatically display on top or on bottom of content area

of CMS pages, Category Pages based on selection you did for group, like on which CMS

page or Category page you want to show this Brand Group.

Style: You can able to specify the style of brands groups as vertical/horizontal. This

means the type of slider to slide from horizontal (Left-to-Right) way or vertical way

(Top-to-Bottom). Based on selection Brand slider will work on front-end.

Sort Order: you can set the sort order in case of multiple group on one page.




Visible In: This option is only visible in multistore and is used to select the store views

where the brand group should be displayed.

Display on Pages

This feature provide you a functionality, if you want to show this particular

Group in Pre-exists CMS pages of your store you just need to select those CMS pages

and click on Save Group Button. Now when you see that CMS page at frontend, Shop by

brand slider will be there either on top or bottom as per setting you did in that particular

group. How its work we will see later.

Display on Category

This feature provide you a functionality, if you want to show this particular

Group in Pre-exists Category pages of your store you just need to select those Categories

and click on Save Group Button. Now when you see that Category page at frontend

Shop by brand slider will be there either on top or bottom as per setting you did in that

particular group. How its work we will see later.

Once you fill all information and click on “Save And Continue Edit” button you can able see

remaining Tabs like this

Let’s see the functionality of each tab




Brands of this Group

This tab will show you no’s of brands that this group contain.

Use Code Inserts

This is auto generated code, If you want to used this particular group in any

template file or layout file or CMS page in your store you just need to copy the code and

put it where you want to show, and shop by brand will show shop by brand slider

related to that particular group on the position where you put auto generated code.

How its work we will see later.




Manage Shop By Brand Section:

To add brands with in shop by brand extension you can do this using Manage Shop

By Brand.

Go to Backend -> CONTENT -> MageBees - Shop By Brand.

Click on Manage Shop By Brands. You will get following screen.

When you installed Shop By Brand Extension in your store, this extension automatically

create an attribute call “shopbybrand”.

Go to Backend -> STORES Attributes Product. You will get following screen.

Shop By Brand Extension is working on attributes value so you need to assign values to the

attribute so this extension work effectively as per your requirement. There are two ways for

use attribute with shop by brand extension.

Use “shopbybrand” attribute and assign attribute option value to this attribute.




Use any existing attribute from your store and assign attribute option value to

shop by brand plug – in.

Note: for existing attribute you need to set it from Backend -> STORES → Configuration →

MAGEBEES -> Shop By Brand and under brands tab

Once you select any of the above option for assign attribute to shop by brand extension you

need to assign attribute option values to that attribute.

We will see both methods one by one.

Use “shopbybrand” attribute and assign attribute option value to this attribute.

To use above method you just need to go at backend and click on Backend ->

STORES Attributes Product and search “shopbybrand” attribute code.

Once you get attribute code click on that attribute code, when you click on that attribute

you will get a screen something like this




Add attribute options that you want and click on Save Attribute button on your right top

corner. Once you click on save Attribute Button go to Manage Shop By Brand page once

again.

When you are at Manage Shop By Brand Page, You need to click on Load Brand Button.

Once you click on Load Brand button it will automatically load all option of “shopbybrand”

attribute under grid.

As you see above when we click on Load Brand Button all options value will load under grid,

so now you can able to edit those option values and assigned brand images with in it. How

to assigned images we will see it later on.




Following are the options which are there while you edit/add information in attribute

option value for shop by brand plug-in.

Brand Tooltip Description

Here you can specify Brand Description, so when anybody takes mouse over on

brand image at frontend under slider it will show brand description in tooltip.

Note: you have to enable tooltip option from configuration setting of shop by brand

otherwise tooltip not showing in frontend when you take your mouse over on brand

images even description are there so you need to enable it first if you want to show

effect of tooltip.




Meta Title, Meta Keywords, Meta Description

You can set Meta title, Description and keywords of brand.

Note: This functionality will work only when SEO URL functionality is enabled.

Brand Logo

You can able to specify Brand logo Images from here, you can able to upload brand

images related to attribute option value so its display in slider at front side.

Sort Order

You can specify Sort order [position] of brands so when its show in frontend it will

display in sorting order.

Note: This functionality work based on option you select from configuration setting

of shop by brand regarding sort order, so better advice to set sort order option from

admin side and then add sort order here.

External URLs

You can able to add External URLs from here, it allow customer to redirect any

external URLs when he/she click on any brand images under shop by brand slider. So

if you want to do those things you can able to do from here.

Featured Brand

You can able to set Featured Brand, When you set brands as Featured Brand with the

use of shop by brands featured block functionality you can able to set featured

brand slider in you e-commerce Magento store.

Groups

You need to Select Groups from here, which specifies under which groups this brand

will show.

Status

It allows you to activate/deactivate brands, if you deactivate brand it will not display

at front end under any of shop by brand slider.




You need to add information for all brand attributes, brand images and Group selection

while editing brands info under Manage shop by brand is necessary.

Once all information is set for all brand attributes, you just need to refresh your front-end

and brands will show at front-end where you put shop by brand code for slider or it will

show on CMS pages, Categories based on selection you did from backend while creating

Groups for Shop by brand extension automatically.

After adding Brand images then you can see the front-end. You can see the Different type of slider

group.

Let’s see one by one how this auto generated code work:

Template Tag

I am putting this code in Home CMS Page of my e-commerce Magento Store. So go to you backend

click on CONTENT Pages and select any of CMS Page and put shop by brand slider auto generated

code in it. As we shop by brand slider code in Home CMS page.

Once you put code you just need to refresh you CMS page and shop by brand slider will show in your

front end.




XML Tag

o Suppose you want to use XML Tag auto generated code of shop by brand plug-in

copy XML Tag auto generated code and put it in your Theme XML layout Files [app/

design/frontend/<Your package>/<Your theme>/<Your Module>/layout/].

o Suppose for example we are putting XML Tag Block code in local.xml file, so open

your theme local.xml file and put following code under content area.

o Open layout.xml file and put code in content area something like this




Call Via Frontend Template file

o If you want to set shop by brand slider in your template file [.phtml] you need to

just paste this auto generated code at any part of your template files.

Suppose we want to put shop by brand code in content position we need to copy code call via

fronted template file code and put in our theme .phtml template file.




Once you set this code just need to refresh your front end and shop by brand slider will be there

under footer potion.




How to set Featured Brand Slider Functionality

You can able to set Brands as featured brands, using shop by brand extension you just need

to set Yes for featured Brand slider Functionality.

Edit and Set as many as brands you want to show under featured brand functionality and

you need to copy one of the code from Backend -> STORES → Configuration → MAGEBEES -> Shop

By Brand and select Featured Brand tab and select one of the code from

XML Tag Representation

Suppose you want to use XML Tag Representation auto generated code of

shop by brand plug-in XML Tag Representation auto generated code and put it in

your Theme XML layout Files.




Template Tag Representation

Suppose you want to use Featured brand slider in CMS page than use this code.

Call Via Frontend Template File

Suppose you want to use Featured Brand slider code in your template files

than use that code [.phtml file].

Featured brand functionality used same techniques as we see earlier to set shop by brand slider

without using shop by brand auto generated code featured so you just need to copy and put the

code where you want to show shop by brand Featured slider.

Suppose we are using Call via Frontend Template File code to show Featured Brand functionality on

template file. Suppose we are putting code in .phtml file.

How to set All Brands Functionality of Shop By Brand Extension

All Brand Functionality has two different layouts. So you can use either of it i.e. Simple

Brand listing Representation and Ajax Brand Listing Representation.

You just need to copy code from Backend -> STORES → Configuration → MAGEBEES -> Shop

By Brand then click on All Brand tab.

Select and copy code from the two different layouts and put it CMS page, Layout Files or

Template files of your theme folder.

Suppose we are selecting Template Representation and put simple listing and Ajax listing

representation in Home Page CMS page.

o Simple Listing Representation

All Brands are listed based on alphabetically




o Ajax Listing Representation




How to set Auto Search Brand Functionality of Shop By Brand

Extension in Magento Store

To Set Auto search Brand Functionality you need to copy auto generated code and put it in

your CMS page, Layout Files or Template files of your Magento Store.

For that you need to go to Backend -> STORES → Configuration → MAGEBEES -> Shop By

Brand and select code from Auto Search Brand Information tab and paste it where you want

to show Auto Search feature of shop by brand plug-in.

Suppose we are putting the code under Footer section.

When you type any brand name it will auto search brands as a result and you can able click

on one of them, when you click it will redirect you search result page where you can able to

see no of product which contain that particular brand it shows something like this

How to Shop by brand Extension show Brand images in Product Page




You need to just set yes in shop by brand system configuration setting i.e. Backend -> STORES →

Configuration → MAGEBEES -> Shop By Brand and select “Yes” from drop down of Display on

Product page and then click on save config button to save setting like below snap shot.

o Please click on Manage Products section and set Shop By Brand Value of your

selected product.

o Now when you click on product detail page in front end shop by brand attribute

option image will be there like this







How to set SEO URL functionality of Shop by brand Extension

Go to Backend -> STORES → Configuration → MAGEBEES -> Shop By Brand and select “Yes” from

Enable SEO URL dropdown.

o Now go to front side and click on any images from shop by brand slider.







FAQ:-

Q-1:- I have Installed Shop By Brand Extension. I got following error. "There has been an error processing your request"."Please upgrade your database: Run bin/magento setup:upgrade".

Run “php bin/magento setup:upgrade” command to your terminal or command

prompt. Please see installation steps for that. Click Here

Q-2:- I have update attribute option values from Backend -> STORES ->

Attributes -> Product , but when I click on Manage shop By Brand page, The

updated attribute option value will not updated with old option value?

Solution: - Please Click on Load Button and your updated attribute information will be

show under manage shop by brand grid.

Q-3:- Once I have Installed Shop By Brand Extension, When I click on Manage

Shop By Brand it will show message something like this “Brand option values

not available. Please insert Brand values”?

Solution: - You will get this message only when you have not added attribute options

value. Once you added attribute options value from Backend -> STORES -> Attributes ->

Product, once you set attribute option value this message will not appear again on Shop By

Brand Management page.




Q-4:- After adding attributes option value from Backend -> STORES ->

Attributes -> Product option value still not display under Manage Shop by

Brand page and I got this kind of Notice “Please click Load Brand button to

show listing of brands”?

Solution: - Nothing to worry about that you just need to click on Load Button and your

attribute options value will show after it.
