In 1930 Serbian football was very popular.Boys were playing football on the street every day.Ball was a rag and goal was made of wood.

1930 FIFA WORLD CUP

Yugoslavia defeated Bulgaria 6-1 and 1930 footbal union Yugoslavia traveled to the World Cup in Uruguay.We were in group 2.

GROUP 2 MATCH 1

In the first match Yugoslavia defeated Brazil 2-1. Aleksandar Tirnanić and Ivica Bek scored goals.

GROUP 2 MATCH 2

In the second match, Yugoslavia defeated Bolivia 4-0.That match was very incredible.Ivica Bek scored 2 goals.

SEMI FINAL

In semi final we lost to Uruguav 6-1.It was the biggest humiliation for the Serbian people. They were all against us.

In the end we won 4th place in the World Cup.It is the greatest achievement of Serbian football.
