The Septimus Gas Plant is a sweet gas processing plant, located at 12-27-81-18 W6M in Northeastern British Columbia. Aux Sable Canada acquired the Septimus Gas Plant in BC’s Montney Shale area from Crew Energy in December of 2009. The Septimus gas plant was expanded from its initial 25 mmcfd capacity to 60 mmcfd in February 2011. In 2014, an additional compressor further expanded the plant’s capacity to 75 mmcfd. Constructed in 2010, the pipeline transports sweet, liquids rich natural gas from the Septimus Gas Plant to the Alliance Pipeline, for downstream processing at Aux Sable’s Channahon NGL Extraction & Fractionation Facility. The pipeline was constructed and sized to accommodate potential future volumes from Crew and other regional producers in the liquids rich Montney gas play.
