  • General introduction to the basinThe Segura basin is located in the southwest of the peninsula and it takes up a space of 18.606 km2; that 14 936 km2 belongs to Segura river.

  • IntroductionThe Segura river born in Pontones (Jan), located on the Segura range, with 1.413 altitude meters. In its route of 325 km, across the provinces of Jan, Albacete y Murcia to flow into the Mediterranean shore.Its route it is divided on several tributaries, that are Mundo river, Guadalentn river and Argos river. Some of revoirs are Santomera, Almadenes, Pedrera y Taibilla.
