Eligibility• a permanent residential building which is occupied for the majority of

the year – NOT a second home or holiday home

• must be the owner of the property, or, have permission from the owner

• if the property is jointly-owned, all owners must agree to the installation

• the property should already be installed with all basic energy efficiency measures - for instance, loft insulation up to 250mm and cavity wall insulation where practical

• planning permission and Building Control approval if necessary

Installations• your installation must not have been commissioned for the first time

before 24 May 2012

• your installation must not have received any other financial grant or support

• if you have previously received a grant; you can apply for a voucher under NIRHPP system as long as you comply with T&C’s of previous grant

• you must have obtained suitable quotes in relation to the installation and have chosen the one that most suits your needs

• the renewable heat technology you are installing must be listed under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) or Solar Keymark and be installed by someone registered under the MCS scheme

Vouchers• Entitled to claim a "Renewable Heat Premium Payment" T &

C’s apply in the covering letter issued by (DETI) • The voucher is personal to the person that applies for and is

issued with the voucher and cannot be transferred to anyone else or to any other installation address.

• You are only entitled to apply for a voucher if you meet certain eligibility requirements as detailed at www.nidirect.gov.uk and in the covering letter issued by DETI with your voucher.

• Being issued with a voucher or payment under the NIRHPP scheme is not a guarantee of future payments under the RHI

Claiming Premium Payment• Installation of renewable heating system in property must be completed

• To claim the payment, must provide the following documents to DETI by no later than the "Voucher Expiry Date”

• The completed voucher, including payment details and a completed "Customer Declaration“

• A copy of the invoice(s) from installer

• A copy of (MCS) Installer Certificate

• A copy of Building Control approval

• Any other documents that DETI may request

Keep Records

• The original of any quotation(s) and invoice(s) from installer. Must keep these records for six years – inspection!

• DETI may access properties in order to inspect installations and verify to verify compliance with T&C’s

• Following installation of new renewable heating system, must comply with certain ongoing monitoring requirements, as described on the Process for the RHPP scheme page and the covering letter issued by DETI with the voucher.

Monitoring

• DETI may request additional meters attached to installation which will monitor the performance of the heating system. You will not have to pay for these or take readings yourself. Everyone has to agree to let a meter be installed as part of the terms and conditions of the scheme.

• In most cases, any meters and controls which come with the product will be sufficient. You will be asked, through surveys, about these meters and the bills that you get; and in particular how easy it is to understand the meters and the controls, as well as general feedback on your satisfaction with the system installation and its performance

More T&C’s

•It is a condition of the voucher being paid that the technology will remain installed and in use at the property, and will not be modified in such a way as might adversely affect its performance, for a period of at least 24 months following payment of the voucher. Home owner will be responsible for ensuring that this condition is met

With Holding Payments

•DETI has the right to reduce or withhold payment of the voucher or (once paid) require that some or all of it be repaid, if this is required by law (including rules relating to "state aid") and/or if any one or more of the following events occurs:•any information that you provided to DETI is subsequently found to be untrue, inaccurate or incomplete•you were never eligible, or prior to claiming it you ceased to be eligible, to receive the payment•you fail to comply with these terms and conditions
