The acoustic jazz ensemble, Rhythm Future Quartet, keeps the Gypsy

jazz spirit alive and expanding with its dynamic and lyrical arrangements of

both Gypsy jazz standards and original compositions drawn from diverse

international rhythms and musical idioms. The virtuosic foursome, named

for a Django Reinhardt tune, offers up a newly minted sound influenced

by the classic Hot Club of France, yet is totally contemporary.

Our “Jazz Arts Group Presents” series focuses on smaller ensembles, up-and-coming artists, intimate performances and

educational opportunities that reach into the community through workshops and artist residencies at schools throughout the city.

Trombonist/vocalist Vincent Gardner is the winner of the 2014 Downbeat Magazine “Rising Star” Critic’s Poll for Trombone,

Downbeat’s “Rising Star” Critic’s Poll nominee for Male Vocalist, and the lead trombonist for the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. He composes and arranges for the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra as well as his own bands, and has led four critically-acclaimed recordings. In addition to performing in the orchestra, Vincent leads many of the organization’s education programs as Director, Jazz at Lincoln Center Youth Orchestra and Instructor, Swing University. He helms a top-flight ensemble for his only Columbus engagement at The Lincoln Theatre, timed to commemorate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Presented in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center and King Arts Complex.
