Welcome to Manchester Manchester city has a population of 500

000 (2.5 million with surroundings) and is

known as the commercial and cultural

capital of the northwest of England, having

the UK’s largest economic region outside of

London. It is noted as an arts, media, and

higher education Centre. Manchester is

surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Six reasons to visit Manchester1. Breath taking architecture

Manchester is a mix of old and new and displays a variety of architectural styles, from Victorian to contemporary style. The widespread use of red brick characterizes the city.Enjoy architecture as it’s most beautifulwith the John Ryland’s library, manchester Cathedral and Manchester Town Hall in the historic Albert square.

2. Museums and art galleries

With 2 million visitors a year Manchester offers a wide range of museums and galleries. From Manchester Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester art gallery to the People’s History Museum, there is something for everyone.

Whether you want to chill out or go all in, you will find what you are looking for. Manchester is famous for being multicultural which shows in the varitity and choice when it comes to restaurants, pubs, bars and nightclubs.

Manchester offers a variety of mix from wellknown department stores like Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and Marks and Spencer to smaller boutiques in the pedestrian area in the trendy Northern quarters.

6. Music, Events and Festivals

Many well-known artist grew up in Manchester. You might recognize artists like Oasis, Take That and heard of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. The city is also an important destination for festivals, you will enjoy jazz, rock and film festivals among with many other themes.
