Kivells were delighted to conduct the Retirement Sale for and on behalf of Dayment & Skelton Agricultural

Engineers at Blackawton, Totnes which incorporated the dispersal of machinery on behalf of Mr Leonard

Earle of Higher Swannaton Farm, Dartmouth.

The sale consisted of just under 1100 lots in which a good

attendance of buyers were present all adhering and following

the strict COVID rules and regulations set our prior to the sale.

The tractors on behalf of Dayment & Skelton Agricultural

Engineers topped at £26,000 for the Case Puma 145 CVX with

the John Deere 6543 Premium achieving £22,000, whilst the

Ford 4610 complete with Quicke Loader went on to reach

£8,200. A large line up of Kawasaki Mules saw the best top at

£10,800 with older models achieving £4,200, £4,100 and £3,600.

Other larger equipment which included the Marston ECE Lowline Field Master Dung Spreader realised

£9,700, the Conor 900 Side Spreader hit £4,900, the Matbro T5280 Telescopic Handler achieved £8,600

whilst the best of the Ploughs being a 4 Furrow Kongskilde topped at £9,200 with the Overum DX 4975

achieving £5,600 and the Overum CX 5975 levelling out at £4,000. The John Deere 644 Premium Round

Baler hit £5,800 whilst the Exhibition Unit Show Trailer obtained £5,000.

A large quantity of workshop equipment saw a top call for

the the 40T Churchill Manual Press obtaining £900. Tractor

attachments saw the 2m Combi Grab top at £950, Shipping

Containers topped at £800 whilst a large consignment of

Tractor Weights saw the best top at £650 for a 1050K Front

Weight.

The machinery sold on behalf of Mr Leonard Earle

topped at £30,500 for the Case 1154 complete with

Loader whilst the Case Maxxum 125 achieved £28,400

and the Case 115C hit £25,000. The Getl 3840 Skidsteer

obtained £8,500 whilst the Lowline Farmall 600 Rear

Discharge Dungspreader levelled out at £7,000, the Kidd

Straw Chopper topped at £6,800 closely followed behind

by the McConnell High Reach 550 Hedgetrimmer

obtaining £6,200.

A pleasing day throughout with a large quantity of lots meeting a good trade throughout. It was pleasing

to see all buyers adhering to the strict COVID rules and regulations and completing the requirements set

out prior to the sale.
