A Sweet Journey: Experiencing the Stories of God’s GracePastor Eric Mounts

In this experience together, we will learn how to understand, trace, develop, and map our spiritual journey to faith in Christ. We’ll then share these crafted stories of grace with the group. This is a class on spiritual cartography (map-making) to equip us to rehearse the development of God’s grace at work in us. Let’s grow in our capacity to tell the story of grace at work in our lives. This class is for all of those desiring to gain new skills and understanding in knowing about and telling of God’s work in our lives. Let’s work on it together!

Believing God by Beth MooreMrs. Jane Schultz

Do you take God at His Word, believing what He has told us, or do you just believe in His existence and the salvation He offers? Through studying the lives of Abraham, Moses, and others from Hebrews 11 as examples of persons who believed God, Beth encourages women to deepen their own trust in God and receive a fresh word from Him.

Join us for these life changing weeks and learn to believe God!

The Redeeming and Corrupting Power of Technology Mr. Evan Patterson

Do you feel like technology is taking over your life? Are the things that are supposed to make your life easier actually controlling you? Find out where technology fi ts in the biblical story of redemption. Based upon a book by John Dyer, From the Garden to the City, we’ll look at how technology left unexamined can enslave us rather than honor God and fulfi ll His plan for us. We’ll look at practical ways that we can contain our smart phones, social media accounts, and technology in general. We’ll also look at ways to protect ourselves and our children and teens from the dangers of the Internet and social media.

Financial Peace UniversityMr. Tim Abraham

We all need a plan for our money. Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) teaches God’s ways of handling money, equipping us to be faithful disciples with the blessings He has given us. Through video teaching, class discussions, and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more.On average, participants in Bible Center’s FPU sessions have saved $1,250 and paid off $1,550 of non-mortgage debt during the 2.5-month class...and that $2,800 turnaround is just the beginning!

For the Life of the WorldPastor Chad Cowan

Have you ever wondered what your salvation is actually FOR? It is just to get to heaven? Is it so we can have a “friend in Jesus”? Is it even about us? For the Life of the World: Letters to the Exiles is an invitation to explore the scandalous and beautiful story of God’s plan for the whole world. In this series, we’ll be exploring the bigger picture of what it means to be “in the world, not of it.” During this series of fi lms, we’ll explore the essential question: “What is our salvation for?” In the process, we’ll investigate God’s economy of all things.

Join us for a special Concert of Prayer from 6:30–8 PM onWednesday, August 20, in the Worship Center to launch the Fall Semester of Equip!

All are welcome, and we’ll be using lyrics of hymns to guide our prayersfor God’s blessings on our ministries. This is a non-intimidating time for corporate

prayer and personal silent prayer. Towards the end of our time together, each Equip teacher give a short introductory presentation in the Worship Center,

giving you a sneak peak at what’s ahead in the coming weeks!Equip classes will begin on Wednesday, August 27.

We all have personal, defining moments in our lives – God-given opportunities for us to love, serve, and be obedient to Him in unique ways. We have one before us as the Bible Center family.

We have the privilege to take part in a focused process designed to influence the future direction of Bible Center Church. We are partnering with Ron Donnini, president of The Malphurs Group, an international church consulting group that specializes in strategic envisioning. This process will be led by a group of 26 staff, lay leaders, and men and women of our congregation, who will be serving on the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT). The SLT will oversee an overarching process that will look at all facets of our ministries and oversee the work of multiple implementation teams focused on particular areas. These various implementation teams (which will be assembled in the coming months) will be comprised of additional staff, lay leaders, and others in our church family and will focus on different facets of our ministry, from outreach to facilities and finances and beyond.

Look Forward!
