ABOUT STEPHANIE

You can find me each and every day inside my turquoise studio office at Bella Blvd in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Bella Blvd is my baby, a company I started more than five years ago, and a place where I am free to express my passion for drawing, scrapbooking, design and teamwork. I thrive under pressure and am most happy when I’m truly inspired. Currently, I am the sole designer behind the recognizably colorful Bella Blvd brand. As a young girl I dreamt of being an illustrator for Disney movies; I’d draw and draw, filling up several sketchbooks. In middle school I saved my own money to purchase a drafting table for my bedroom so that I could have my own drawing area. Finally, I capped off countless art and design classes with a Bachelor of Fine

Arts Degree in Graphic Design. Fast forward seven years and today I am the proud owner of boutique scrapbooking brand found in independent scrapbooking and paper crafting stores worldwide.

I come from a family of creative people including my Nana (grandmother), a seamstress her entire career. A perk of having a talented Nana is that we were always dressed in the best quality clothes, handmade with love for my two sisters and myself. It is Nana’s influence that makes me incredibly proud to license artwork with Riley Blake to produce beautiful textiles with my name on them. Producing fabric has always been a dream of mine; to show Nana that I designed these bolts of fabric and those cute fat quarters would truly make her proud. The opportunity to partner with Riley Blake has been amazing and to date we’ve produced four fabric lines inspired by my paper collections through Bella Blvd, with more in the works.

I recently married my beau of seven years and am a proud puppy mama of Baby Mio. My favorite part of designing products for crafters is the timeless nature of my work; forty years from now I might find myself at a neighbor’s Tupperware party and spot a beautiful quilt or family scrapbook featuring a piece of my work. It’s extremely fulfilling to help others document their priceless memories and life stories. In my spare time I enjoy running, trying new recipes, traveling, decorating, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and photography.

Kim Christopherson is the owner and designer of Kimberbell Designs, a sewing, quilt, and embroidery design pattern company.

She has been involved in the DIY industry for many years, as the founder of “You Can Make This” and other DIY websites. You may also recognize her as the co-host of The DIY Dish, an online sewing, quilt and craft show.

Kim and her identical twin sister, Kris, have been featured on national television shows including The Rachael Ray Show and The Nate Berkus Show. You’ll find them in magazines, such as “Designs in Machine Embroidery”, “Quilts & More”, and “Where Women Create.” Both are also monthly contributors to their local NBC affiliate lifestyle television show, Studio 5.

Kim enjoys sewing, crafting, quilting, photography, and machine embroidery. Some of her favorite items to design are pillows and table runners since they can add “just that little something special” to any season or holiday.

She’s a mom who juggles her children’s soccer, music lessons, and homework schedules while balancing the demands of her businesses. Kim is also a frequent and popular speaker on entrepreneurship, women in business, and succeeding online.

Kim’s business team includes her husband, Ryan Christopherson, who manages the financial and technical operations within the company. Ryan is proud to be a technology and marketing geek. His background includes marketing, product management, and project management work within a variety of high-tech companies and start-ups.
