    Despiteinterna,onaldeclara,onsandconven,ons,thereisacon,nuousandrelentlesseffortbygovernmentstotry,withmoreor lesssubtletyandaconsiderabledegreeofsuccess, to assimilate indigenous peoples into the dominant system. We propose atechnology-based educa,on approach to revitalise indigenous languages, consideringthem as themost important iden,ty feature, aswewill argue in this paper. Culturalfeaturesevolveandchangeover,me,butlanguageisthelinkthatkeepsthepastandthepresenttogetherunderthesameiden,ty.Withtheiden,tylinkoflanguageandastrongeduca,on,theindigenousworldmighthaveastandingchanceofsurvival.
