• Since 1997, the Asia-Pacific Week

Berlin (APW) has been Germany’s

most important platform for dialogue and cooperation with Asian

partners from business, culture,

science and politics.

Cultural program

● In addition to the conference program, Berlin‘s cultural institutions complemented and enriched the APW program by presenting specific aspects of the Asia-Pacific region in terms of culture and society. Organizers included museums, galleries, Asian cultural centers in Berlin, foundations and associations, and science and education institutions.

● SUAB is a platform to connect the startup hubs between Berlin and Asia in order

to build an intercontinental startup ecosystem through structured channels and

contact points.

● Participants are: international startups, corporates, accelerators, incubators, VC

companies, co-working spaces etc.

● Project objectives: Creating mutual interest and awareness, connecting hubs,

cooperation, professionalization.

● Project activities: Roadshows, conferences, workshops, matchmaking,

infrastructure, mentoring.

● SUAB meeting during the APW in Berlin

● Delegation trips to Asia in 2019 are planned to China, India,

Singapore and Indonesia.
