IT Challenges Today

Current Data Center Practices Out Dated Large up front cost before day one of production IT demand moves faster than construction

OPEX 2 out of 3 watts wasted on cooling Maintenance on under utilized infrastructure Cooling Infrastructure driving total electricity usage out of proportion Cost for electricity and services goes up every year

Limited Cooling / Electrical Capacity Inflexible Infrastructure (Once a raised floor always a raised floor) Constant Demand for Expansion Expensive Retrofit for High Density Zone

Industry Direction Change

Modular/Containerized Data Centers • Benefits over Traditional Data Centers Include:

– CAPEX savings of 35-50% – OPEX savings of 20-30%– Time to Deploy from years to 6-8 months

Negatives– Still has large price tag prior to operation

Micro-Modular Data Centers• Benefits over Container Data Centers Include:

– CAPEX Additional savings of 40-50% – OPEX Additional savings of 30-35%– Significant Flexibility– Time to Deploy to 2 months

Elliptical products only need Power and Connectivity. This allows for endless placement choices.

Page 8: Remote Office 2010

The Solution is Clear MICRO MODULAR

• Save Money– Eliminate costly infrastructure with a self-contained, high-density, cost-

effective data center.– Reduce the costs to plan, build and implement your data center– Reduce overall operating expenses

• Save Energy– Closed loop cooling dramatically cuts cooling and electrical costs – Significantly reduce data center’s harmful carbon footprint

• Save Time– Micro-Modular Data Centers can be built, fully populated and delivered in

weeks vs. months or years– Have a fully functional data center when, where and for however long you

need it

• Save Space– Reduce your data center footprint by up to 70 percent– EMS products can be located in a warehouse, garage, office or closet

Type 4 - Enclosures constructed for either Indoor or Outdoor use.

To provide a degree of protection of the equipment insidethe enclosure against ingress of solid foreign objects (falling dirt andwindblown dust); To provide a degree of protection with respect to harmfuleffects on the equipment due to the ingress of (water, rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, and hose directed water); and that will be undamaged bythe external formation of ice on the enclosure.

(RASER, SPEAR AND UPGRADED C3-SPEAR)

Type 12 - Enclosures constructed for Indoor use.

To provide a degree of protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against ingress of solid foreign objects (falling dirt and circulating dust, lint, fibers, and flying); and to provide a degree of protection with respect to harmful effects on the equipment due to the ingress of water

(dripping and light splashing). (Base C3-SPEAR)

REMOTE OFFICE DEPLOYMENT

Next Steps:• Do you have a IT Solution in mind?

– How much storage do you need?– What is the rack space requirement in U– What is the heat output of the equipment?

• Do you have a location picked out?– Can you get power and connection and ventilation to this

location?

• What is your time line to complete this project?– When would you like to begin?– When would you like to complete the project?

• Other requirements and consideration
