    NESTERserver and UltraQueue

    Software Release Notice

    November 2007

    Update for Accumark 8.3.0 software

    1. RELEASE CONTENTS

    Recommended configuration would be to install NESTERserver on a standalone computer.Install Job Submission on the AccuMark workstations and network them to the NESTERserver computer.

    NESTERserver Update for AccuMark 8.3

    New simple installation procedure installs the UltraQueue and NESTERserver update for

    AccuMark 8.3.

    2. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

    These procedures describe how to install NESTERserver update for AccuMark 8.3. This taskconsists of loading the software, entering the NESTERserver HASP key and license code andGERBER license file and key. Follow these procedures each time NESTERserver software isreloaded.

    AccuMark UsersBefore installing NESTERserver on an AccuMark, check for:

    a.) Windows XP or Vista (with current service packs)b.) AccuMark 8.3c.) 512 MB memory (recommended)d.) Valid NESTERserver HASP key and separate 6.1 NESTERserver license codes for

    NESTERserver GERBER version 8.x key and an updated 8.3 corresponding license file.

    Security Key InstallationNESTERserver requires license codes for NESTERserver. Ensure that you have the licensecode(s) for the NESTER HASP key before you start the installation. The license codes areunique to each HASP key (serial number). If you do not have the codes please get the serialnumber of the HASP key and contact Gerber Service for the code.

    UltraMark requires a Gerber 8.3 security key and license file. Ensure that you have the smallwhite security key and its corresponding license file.

    The keys should be attached to the station you are going to run NESTERserver on. To do this,turn the station off and disconnect the printer cable (if there is a printer attached) from theexisting keys. Attach the smaller key to the printer port and then attach the NESTER HASP key.Re-attach the printer cable. Turn the PC on.

    Submit Only a system with AccuMark loaded will only get the UltraQueue program installed.This will allow the user to send markers to the NESTERserver for processing. Each users jobssubmitted will be listed in the queue to be processed in the order they were received. Eachsystem will be able to view the progress by seeing the UltraQueue screen on their individualsystem.

    For the NESTERserver system for best results should be a stand-alone computer loadedwith computer speed and memory for the best processing results possible. NESTERserver andUltraQueue software should be loaded on this computer no need for marking system software.

    Software Installation for NESTERserver/NESTERpackLog on to the PC as an ADMINISTATOR and insert the AccuMark Family CD into your CD-ROM drive.If your CD does not start up automatically, select My Computer, click the icon thatrepresents your CD-ROM, and select install.htm. Select OPEN if the File Download dialogdisplays.

    At this point you can perform the following:1. Display or Check System Requirements2. View Documentation3. Install NESTERserver and NESTERpack from the AccuNest screen. Note:

    NESTERpack is optional. If the NESTERpack password is not supplied,NESTERpack will not install.

    When you are ready to install the software, select AccuNest from the Main AccuMarkinstallation page.

    1. Install NESTERserver and NESTERpack by selecting Install AccuNest

    Note: NESTERpack is optional you must have a NESTERpack password included for this to work.

    2. Once Install AccuNest is selected, the software installation wizard begins with theWelcome Screen. Click Next to begin the installation.

    3. The next display will appear and will allow you to accept or reject the terms of thesoftware license agreement. Select Yes to continue.

    4. To install the AccuMark 8.3 Nester update, select Nester Update for V8.3

    5. Choose the Destination device or path by selecting Browse, or use the default byselecting Next.

    6. Select Complete AccuNest to update Nester on the server or Job Submission to updatethe pcs that submit jobs.

    7. When the License Code screen appears, enter NESTERserver codes.

    8. If you would like an icon for UltraQueue placed on your desktop select the box.

    10. A reminder is displayed to load your license files for AccuMark and Nester applications.Do this after the installation completes by using the Install License icon on the desktop.

    The Problem Report Utility and GTLM Security software will be installed after NESTERserver if this is the first time you are installing, or if a newer version is available. Press Next to installeach of these software applications.

    A Reboot dialog may display. If so, restart the PC after the installation has finished.

    AFTER the NESTERserver installation (not job submission) : Note the following procedure

    can be run from v.8.3GERBER Launch pad Utilities Install License File .1. A license file will be provided for the GERBER version 8.3 security key. To install the

    license file double click on the Install License icon on the desktop.

    2. Select Product type AccuMark.

    3. Browse to the location of the license file by pressing the button beside the SelectFile to Install field. Select the LIC file for the security key attached.

    4. The file will be copied and renamed to LSERVRC in C:\Program Files\CommonFiles\Gerber Technology\GT License Manager.

    Software Installation for JOB Submission .Log on to the PC as an ADMINISTATOR and insert the AccuMark Family CD into your CD-ROM drive.If your CD does not start up automatically, select My Computer, click the icon that

    represents your CD-ROM, and select install.htm. Select OPEN if the File Download dialogdisplays.

    1. . Install NESTERserver and NESTERpack by selecting Install AccuNest

    2. Welcome screen select Next. To cancel the install, select Cancel.

    3. The License Agreement will allow you to accept or reject the terms of thesoftware license agreement. Select Yes to continue.

    4. Select NESTER Update for V8.3 to begin the software update.

    5. Select Next to accept the default location for the software to install.

    6. Select Job Submission to install UltraQueue on your machine

    9. The installation will begin.

    10. Following the installation of Job Submission, the Problem Report Utility will run, firstuninstalling previous version if found.

    Check Nester License

    To verify the license codes and key number, select Program Files/Gerber Technology/Nester/Check Nester License

    Check the license code against the key. Change the nester codes Shows the key number for NESTERserver
