Mentor and idealistic, Dr. Bonfim built AACD in the light of serious diseases existing at the time such as polio.

Inspiring on evolution of orthopedic industry in USA after 2nd world war, Dr. Bonfim import the ideas and technics.

But in the U.S., people with disabilities were respected and admired throughout society which does not happen here.

In Brazil, they were discriminated because of malnutrition, malformation, victims of the lack of information and others.

IBM Maximo Project - Introduction To further improve the process of managing the operational activities

within the orthopedic manufactory, the AACD set up the IBM Maximo software in August 2013.

The IBM Maximo has adapted easily to the needs of the institution, allowing management of processes in a completely new level. Based on a flexible configuration model, the system was personalized and customized according to users' requirements.

The implementation allows the necessary processes to align business goals with the overall goals of the institution control, making it even more responsive patient care, and promoting the reduction of production costs and material losses calculated in inventories.
