As of SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0 (EA-APPL 606 and SAP_APPL 606), the business function Project System, Extended Usability and Performance (OPS_PS_CI_2) is available. With this business function, you can use the following enhancements in Project System (PS):

With SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 6 you now have the option to load projects and networks without loading specific data and hence improve the data loading times. You can exclude this data on the Project Builder: User-Specific Options screen. The performance improvement options are • Exclude Material Master Data • Exclude Purchase Order History

SAP Project System in SAP ERP 6.0 EhP6 New User Interface for Project Planning Delta Overview

As of SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL 606), the business function CO, Cost Center Management (FIN_CO_CCMGMT) is available.

With this business function, you can implement the New User Interface for Project Planning.

You can use the following PS related role with this function: Project Planner and Cost Estimator (SAP_CO_PROJECT_PLANNER)

The Easy Cost Planning user interface was reworked in Release 4.6C to use a formula-based questionnaire to determine the main cost blocks in a cost estimate.

The new application builds on this work but modernizes the user experience.

If you prefer to use the SAP Business Objects Analysis Client, you have the option of using all Excel functions while enjoying the benefits of integration with SAP ERP.


Selected Highlights Express Planning: Overall Planning within Express Planning

Express Planning Framework guides users through planning steps.

The planning application is displayed within Express Planning as a planning service.


SAP Project System in SAP ERP 6.0 EhP6 Simplified Reporting for Project System

As of SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL 606), the business function CO, Cost Center Management (FIN_CO_CCMGMT) is available. With this business function, you can use the new simplified reports (see next slide).


Simplified Reporting for Project System Delivered Roles include a Report Launchpad

Role: e.g. Project Planner and Cost Estimator The WDR_CHIP_PAGE

application calls a role- based list of reports for each role (report launchpad).


Simplified Reporting for Project System Plan/Actual/Variance Report

The new reports use the SAP BW front end to support drill down (here by value category), aggregation, and so on.

However, it is not necessary to replicate the data to SAP BW since it is read using „direct access” via data sources


Simplified Reporting for Project System New Report: Actual/Commitments/Total/Plan

This report provides detailed cost element information showing the actual costs, the commitments and the planned costs for the WBS element.

As of SAP Enhancement Package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0 (EA-APPL 606), the business function Commercial Project Inception & Lean Staffing 2 (PRS_ERP_CPILS_2) is available.

The Commercial Project Set-up application has been enhanced to include the following functions:
