Project Stakeholder Management includes theprocesses required to identify the people, group ororganization that could impact or be impacted bythe project, to analyze stakeholders expectationsand their impact on the project, and to developappropriate management strategies for effectivelyengaging stakeholders in project decisions andexecution.

Project Stakeholder Management

Stakeholder management also focuses on continuouscommunication with stakeholders to understand their needsand expectations, addressing issues as they occur, managingconflicting interests and fostering appropriate stakeholderengagement in project decision and activities. Stakeholdersatisfaction should be managed as a key objective. It includes:

IDENTIFY STAKEHOLDERS

The process of identifying all the people, groups ororganizations that could impact or be impacted by adecision, activity, or outcome of the project,analyzing and documenting relevant informationregarding their interests, involvement,interdependencies, influence and potential impacton project success.

Stakeholder Analysis

Stakeholder analysis is a technique used to gather whoseinterest should be taken into account throughout theproject.

It follows the step described below:

1. Identify all potential (key) project stakeholders andrelevant information about them e.g roles, departmentexpectations, knowledge level

2. Analyze the potential impact or support each stakeholdercould generate e.g power/interest grid

3. Assess how key stakeholders are likely to react or respondin various situations in order to plan how to influencethem or to enhance their support and mitigate potentialnegative impacts.
