Elections of 1922 STATE QUESTION STATE QUESTION NO. 114 LEGISLATIVE REFERENDUM NO. 40 Submitted by Senate Joint Resolution No. 8, page 162, Session Laws 1921. The gist of the proposition is as follows: To amend Section 9, Article 10, of the Constitution of the State of Oklahoma, so that the maximum of the total Taxes Authorized to be levied on an ad valorem basis for all purposes, State, County, Township, City or Town and School District Taxes will be increased from Thirty-one (31) Mills on the Dollar to Forty-one and One-half; (41 1/2) mills, and the School District Levy from five (5) to Fifteen (15) Mills on the Dollar for School Purposes for the support of Common Schools.
