We Can Become Members of Jesus’ Church

Each of those pictures can remind us of blessings we receive from Heavenly Father for belonging to Jesus Christ’s Church. One of these blessings is when we are baptized.

Alma told the people to have faith in Jesus Christ and repent.

Alma repented of his sins and went to the Nephites secretly, teaching them Abinadi’s message.

Those who believed Alma’s teachings went to the Waters of Mormon and were baptized. Alma baptized 204 people into the Church.

He told the priests to teach repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. He also said they must not argue but be united.

Alma ordained priests to teach the people.

They shared everything they had and were grateful to have learned about Jesus Christ, their Redeemer.

Those who believed in Christ went to a place called Mormon – a beautiful place with pure water flowing through it.

They planted crops & built homes.

We Can Have the Gift of the Holy Ghost

After we are baptized, we can receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands. If we do what is right, the Holy Ghost will stay with us and tell us the right things to do.

After We Are Baptized, Heavenly Father Will Forgive Us

Another great blessing is that we can be forgiven when we make mistakes and do wrong.

Heavenly Father commanded us to repent of our wrong doings.

The scriptures teach us how we can obey the commandments better.

Enos was Jacob’s son. He kept the plates and wrote on them after his father died.
