How you could incorporate the activity in your lesson

By integrating PowerPoint activity into your classroom teaching, you can more effectively reach your students and provide them with visual stimuli to enhance their learning experience.

Prepare your classroom for a PowerPoint presentation. Use a digital projector to project your PowerPoint presentation.

Create a PowerPoint presentation to correspond with your class lecture. List the topics that you want to cover in your lecture on a sheet of paper. Jot down some key points about each topic that you intend to cover. In your presentation, create a slide devoted to each topic, placing a bulleted list of the key points that you jotted down in your hand-written notes.

Page 21: Present Continuous

Include important vocabulary on your slides so students become accustomed to seeing the vocabulary used. Do not over clutter your slides, but instead create lists with limited words so that students are not overwhelmed. Your PowerPoint should not contain all of the information that you intend to convey, but instead act as a supplement to your lecture. You can further enhance your PowerPoint by integrating video into the presentation or placing hyperlinks that allow you to rapidly access information on the Internet or elsewhere on your computer.

Why you believe the activity would be beneficial

• Grammar is something that doesn’t contain a lot of fun so students feel disappointed when they learn grammar of any language since it is rigid and some rules have no equivalent their mother tongue language. When we use activity to present some rules we actually make it look like real-life situations, interesting and suspenseful. The most interesting thing about activity is that it includes a surprise element at the end of the performance.

Why you believe the activity would be beneficial

• All activities give situations which require practice and greater usage of English.

• Experimentation with language in more relaxed setting than rigid class instruction.

• All activities are intended to be student-centered rather than teacher-centered.

• (Communication, fluency, pronunciation)
