Introduction
H1 2017 (YTD June)
Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 3,609,875passengers during the first half of 2017, registering a 5.4% year-to-date (YTD) increase in passenger traffic (PAX) in comparison to thesame period in 2016. YTD aircraft movements (ACM) have alsowitnessed a minor increase of 0.7%, while the amount of cargohandled decreased by 1.7% in comparison to the first six months oflast year.
In June 2017, PAX rose to 628,787 passengers, which amounted to animpressive 14.0% rise. Similarly, ACM and cargo witnessed significantincreases of 8.9% and 22.2% respectively, as opposed to the samemonth of last year, coming in at 6,545 ACM and 10,661 tons.
