How to open the program

Inicio > Microsoft Office > Microsoft PowerPoint.

Creating a presentation

As you open the program, choose the “Crear una nueva presentación” option.

You will find this option in the “Panel de tareas de inicio”.

Saving a presentation

Archivo > Guardar > Choose the destiny folder

Give a name to your archivePulse the “Guardar” buttonClose the program to make the next exercise

Opening a presentation

Open Microsoft PowerPointArchivo > Abrir> Choose the folder where

your archive is kept and then open it.

Views

Normal view, is how we see the screen at this moment.

Slide classification view, it shows all the slides so we can change their order if it is necessary.

Presentation view, it shows the slide at full screen.

Working with texts

Once you have chosen the design and the background of your slide and saved your document, you can begin to write in.

Options of the Insertar menu

A text box, that independent from the predesigned text.

Texts formats

Formato fuente, to change the type and size of the font.

Alignment format, to place the text at the right or at the left of the slide. It allows too, to place it at the centre or to justified it.

Bullet points format. Use this option if you want to numerate your ideas.

Insertar > Imágenes prediseñadas

Look for images into the Office Gallery introducing a name in the Buscar box

Insert a flower in the science slide

Insert an image from the archive

Insertar > Imagen > Desde ArchivoChoose one image from a folder. (For

example, the folder Imágenes de muestra)

Animating the presentation

One option is to choose a predefined animation that you can find in Presentacion > Efectos de animación.

You can do it one by one, or apply it to all the slides.

Another option is “Personalizar la animación”.

You can define your own animation to each slide by choosing the effects and the order of the different levels of texts.

You can choose the slide transition too.You can insert different kind of sounds in the

transition and even you can insert a song to the hole slideshow

Once you have finished

Save your presentation with a pps extension to avoid somebody to modified it.
