1. User Guide

1.1 Purpose

This document describes the Power Distribution Unit (PDU) Model TAB-DC in terms of its functions, structure, and technical specifications.

2. Functions of Power Distribution Unit PDU

The Power Distribution Unit provides power supply solutions to Huawei Wireless products, and it also provides DC power distribution and surge protection functions.

The Power Distribution Unit (PDU) provides the following functions:

Providing twelve -48 V DC outputs divided into two banks to meet multiple power distribution requirements in scenarios of distributed and separated base stations

Providing twelve 10 Amp outputs (BTicino Mod F/B 10) divided into two banks to meet power distributions requirements in scenarios of distributed and separated base stations

Providing surge protection through the DC surge protection unit (Atlantic Scientific Mod MA15) connected to bank A.

Providing four free spaces for additional breakers units.

The PDU is a 19 inch / 3U device 250A 16 way.

4. Principles of the PDU Model TAB-DCThis describes the power distribution principles and surge protection principles of the PDU Model TAB-DC.

4.2 Power Distribution Principles of the PDU Model TAB-DC

The power distribution principles of the PDU are as follows:

The input (+) power is led into the PDU Model TAB-DC through the input terminal 35mm and then divided into 12 outputs through the copper bar to supply power to power consumption devices.

The input (-) power is led into the PDU Model TAB-DC directly through the breakers

The grounding of the PDU Model TAB-DC is implemented through the XXX grounding screw.

The surge protector principle of the PDU is as follow: The surge protector unit provides protection to Bank A where NodeB and

RRU are connected.

The technical specifications of the PDU consist of the engineering specifications, electrical specifications and surge protection specifications.

This describes the engineering specifications of the PDU in terms of the weight, dimensions, and installation modes.
