Creating your PHS Portfolio

A PowerPoint to guide sophomore

homeroom teachers through setting up

portfolios with their students.

Step 1 Go to http://sites.google.com

Enter your e-mail address and password to sign in.

Click Sign In

Click Create

Click “Browse the gallery for more”

Step 4 Type Prairie High School Portfolio in

the search bar.

Click the magnifying glass to search.

Click on the Prairie High School Portfolio

TROUBLE SHOOT: If the site doesn’t come up when you search, be sure the “Public” Option is selected before you search.

Click “Select” at the bottom of the

screen.

Name your site First M. Last

Type the code shown.

Click the red “Create” button.

Click More

Click Manage

Click on Sharing and Permissions

Select Private.

Click Save.

Click on the bar under “Invite people”

Type your homeroom teacher’s STUDENT

e-mail address in the box.

Click the drop-down menu and select “Is

owner”.

Click the green “Share and save” button.

Click on your name to return to your

portfolio.
