This project was an Architectural competition hosted by AIA, Houston. The project goals were to foster thoughtfuldesign in the sub-discipline of healthcare architecture. The architecture had to balance permanence and change. We had to propose ways to explore some of the most pressing conceptual issues in health facility design. We needed to consider - Outdoor spaces, Retail health, Clinic, Accessibility and Design performance

HOUSTON HEALTH HUBMulti-specialty Clinic

This is an on-going final study project to propose a new care model for multi-specialty clinic. This new model is basedon strategic planning that caters to emerging trends in medical technology and improved patient experience.Segregating the staff and user movement is the prime motivation behind this layout. The design also incorporates views to outdoors, landscape spaces and increases daylight within the building.

THE GREEN HABITATStudents Housing Complex

COLLEGE STATION, TXDecember 2015

This was a real - project coordinated with Texas A&M University. The project approach was to come up with fourguiding principles for our design. My design had the following :1. Every major amenity within walking distance of home 2. Creating usable green spaces for student community.3. Designing community for people and not cars 4. Promoting active and healthy lifestyle opportunities.

rIIT JODHPUR REC CENTERDining hall and Gym on - campus

This was a part of new campus development for IIT Jodhpur. This building was intended to be the hang-out spot for students, as they came here to eat and work-out. The design intent was taking clues from traditional local architecture and yet giving a contemporary design solution. The key feature was ‘Jali’ wall made from bricks thatwere rotated regularly.. Also it was important to get the light within the building so a inner courtyard was planned.

The Built Mass was defined by the prevailing site conditions and neighboring green spaces. The idea was to push the building in so that it had some foreground in front of this visual corridor. The building mass is oriented in such a manner that it minimizes its exposure on it's southern edge. The triangular mass is a direct result of the site linesCourtyards are a tried and tested method of moderating extreme climatic conditions like here within a building.

IIT KANPUR RESEARCHResearch complex - on campus

As a research facility, this had to a functional building that can accommodate the changing trends within the filedof research. Flexibility, adaptability and transformation were few of the main parameters of this design. The services keep changing and hence each floor plate was equipped with sufficient shaft spaces. The interstitial floor held all the gases and necessary plumbing and this floor was accessible for repairs as well as changes.

HIGH STREET PHOENIXOutdoor performance area

The client wanted the outdoor space to be designed into a permanent performance venue. The design brief was to provide one main stage, and few display stages. The landscape had to be integrated by maintaining the overalllook and feel of the scheme. The concept was to have continuity, which was achieved by having splayed surfaces..To provide shaded areas, few canopies have to be introduced after studying overall shade angles.
