Bhimtal LakeBhimtal is a picturesque lake located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Bhimtal Lake is the largest lake in Kumaon region centered amidst green mountains. It is an ancient place named after the legendary Bhima of Mahabharata. The view of the lake is beautiful and the experience is furthur enriched when one takes a shikara for boating in the lake. Hanuman GarhiHanuman Garhi is very nice temple situated to the south of Tallital, approximately 3.5 km away from the Nainital bus stop. It was built by Neem Karoli Baba, a famous local saint in around 1950. This temple is famous for its strategic location. If you want to get close to Mother Nature and enjoy the lavish picturesque surroundings, Hanuman Garhi is the place to be from where the sunrises and sunsets are artistically visible.

Karkotak TempleKarkotak Temple is one of the renowned nag temples situated at Bhimtal region. This temple is located about 3 km away from Bhimtal on the Bhimtal Naukuchiatal road. A mythological story behind this temple is nag devta. Nag Devta was being placed itself to protect the villagers agains snake bite.

Folk Culture MuseumFolk culture museum is one of the must visit attractions in Bhimtal located in Geetadham. It is also known as Lok Sanskriti Sangrahalaya founded by Dr. Yashodhar Mathpal in 1983. This museum displays various archaeological items and rock arts representing rich culture of Uttarakhand. Tourists can also folk paintings, ancient manuscripts, images of gods and goddesses, agriculture implements and wooden artifacts here.

Butterfly Research CenterThe Butterfly Research Centre houses the fourth largest butterfly and moth reference collection in India, located on a hillock near the Bhimtal Lake.
