 The Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt is a limited

production drag race only automobile built by

Ford in 1964 and only 120 units were

produced. The Thunderbolt also used

fiberglass doors, front fenders, hood, andfront bumper to aid in weight reduction. Ford

rated the Thunderbolt at a conservative 425

horsepower, but it is estimated that actualoutput was in the 600+ horsepower range.
